Description

As a result of rapid and expanding growth and sales of our main product line of Decision Support subscriptions, IANS is seeking a Staff Accountant to assist the Director of Revenue Operations. They will closely collaborate with the Director of Revenue Operations to ensure prompt and accurate invoicing and proper revenue recognition of all opportunities. Collections responsibility is also an important part of this job. Some background and knowledge of Sage Intacct and Salesforce and/or other ERP systems is helpful. Importantly crucial is a strong commitment to delivering exceptional results and excellent communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Sales team on invoicing and collections
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger schedules during close periods
• Investigate and resolve account discrepancies
• Assist with the annual financial statement audit
• Research technical accounting matters in a rapidly changing environment
• Provide information for the preparation of federal, state, local, tax returns
• Maintain and/or implement systems of internal control applicable to accounting-related activities & reporting
• Provide administrative and financial reporting support to the Director of Revenue as needed
• Support Finance Department performing other duties as needed.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of related invoicing, collections or accounting experience, close cycle experience a plus
• Experience preferred (but not required) with:
  • Sage Intacct - accounting software
  • Salesforce - CRM platform
  • com - cloud payment facilitation tool
  • Nexonia - cloud expense management tool
• Professional proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Organized and detail-oriented, strong analytical/problem-solving ability
• Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team
• Effective interpersonal and time management skills
