About the Job:

The Senior Manager, Pricing & Strategic Marketing, will play a critical role in enabling portfolio strategy, go-to-market execution, and marketing decision-making through pricing strategy, analytics, and measurement. This role will own pricing model development for new launches, continuously refine recommendations for in-line products, and establish frameworks to measure marketing impact. Additionally, the Senior Manager will drive data-driven projects and strategies aligned with organizational growth goals. This role will collaborate closely with key cross-functional partners, including Sales, Business Insights & Enablement, Marketing, and Finance to optimize pricing, integrate analytical frameworks, and shape long-range strategic planning. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pricing Strategy & Analytics:
    • Lead pricing strategy development for the BioPharma portfolio of solutions, including survey design and advanced modeling to establish optimal price ranges for new launches, expansions, and in-line products
    • Own end-to-end pricing analytics, synthesizing internal performance data, primary research, and financial inputs to inform value-based pricing recommendations
    • Develop and continuously refine pricing and discounting frameworks, ensuring alignment with market dynamics, portfolio objectives, and long-range growth goals
    • Prepare and deliver executive-level pricing recommendations, supporting decision-making and strategic alignment
    • Partner cross-functionally to support pricing governance, rollout readiness, and downstream execution, including tools, communication, and performance tracking
  • Strategic Project & Analytics Support:
    • Provide analytical and project support to variety of strategic marketing initiatives, enabling effective execution of portfolio growth strategies
    • Support high-impact strategic marketing projects by developing analyses, frameworks, and materials that inform decision-making
    • Support definition and evolution of product adoption and marketing KPIs, defining fit-for-purpose metrics that assess marketing effectiveness, customer engagement, and business impact across the portfolio
    • Partner cross-functionally to ensure robust, scalable, tracking and reporting mechanisms provide leadership with clear visibility into performance trends
    • Contribute analytical inputs to strategic forums and deliverables, including product and portfolio level reviews, launch readiness discussions, BioPharma Leadership Team and cross-functional updates
    • Act as a reliable execution and insights partner—bringing rigor, follow‑through, and clarity to complex initiatives while allowing strategy owners to focus on direction, alignment, and decision‑making
  • Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or additional relevant experience 
  • 8+ years working experience with at least 5 years of pricing specific work 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in a life science
  • B2B experience in diagnostics or healthcare
  • Master of Business Administration Degree or graduate (Master's +) Degree in a similar discipline
  • Pricing experience, specifically value-based and COGS-based approaches
  • Knowledge and experience working with the Van-Westendorp & Gabor-Granger methodologies
  • Primary research/financial modeling experience
  • 5+ years of progressively responsible sales or marketing experience in a life science company or management consulting experience
  • Experience:
    • Leading, handling and mobilizing multiple partners (including top executives) demands in a dynamic change orientated environment
    • Strategizing, designing and executing towards ambitious goals
    • Generating creative new approaches to solving business problems
    • Driving collaborative successes with limited mentorship
  • Excellent communication skills in presenting complex concepts to both executive leadership and operational teams
  • Superior problem solving and analytical skills, data-driven, analytical approach to shaping business insights with limited or incomplete information
  • Self-motivated and independently results-oriented as demonstrated history of, and interest in, driving business impact in a highly autonomous role
  • Understanding of HIPAA and the importance of patient data privacy

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Boston, MA is $137,520 - $171,900 per year. The salary range is commensurate with Foundation Medicine’s compensation practice and considers factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, external market conditions, criticality of role, and internal equity. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for Foundation Medicine's benefits.
