Citizens Private Bank and Private Wealth are scaling rapidly, and Southern California is one of our most important growth markets in the country. With new Private Bank Offices in Newport Beach, San Diego, and Los Angeles, multiple high-profile Private Wealth team lift-outs underway, and significant momentum across HNW and UHNW segments, this is the moment to plant a flag with dedicated, on-the-ground marketing leadership.

This is the first official Private Bank and Private Wealth field marketing role for Southern California and a blueprint for how we'll scale marketing across our next wave of high-growth markets. The person in this seat will help us deliver on our 2026+ vision: Expanding Markets. Expanding Influence.

You'll be the marketing engine on the ground, translating national PB/PW strategy into local market reality, activating the full integrated power of Private Bank and Private Wealth, and helping cement Citizens as the premier private banking and wealth brand on the West Coast.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

Scale PB + PW Marketing Across Southern California

  • Serve as the dedicated marketing partner to Relationship Managers, Private Wealth Advisors, PBO leaders, and regional executives across LA, Newport Beach, and San Diego.

  • Build and execute integrated, market-specific go-to-market plans tied directly to deposit, loan, AUM, and advisor recruiting goals.

  • Activate the national PB brand platform locally and translate our premier HNW positioning into market-relevant programming, content, events, and experiences.

Bring the Integrated Power of Private Bank + Private Wealth to Life

  • Operationalize the OneCitizens for the HNW vision in-market, packaging enterprise capabilities across Private Bank, Private Wealth, Commercial, and Business Banking into a seamless client experience.

  • Champion the "two-legged client" by connecting personal and professional banking relationships into one coordinated story.

  • Partner closely with the PB Field Marketing East counterpart, PW Growth Strategy, PBO Marketing, Events, Content, and Communications teams to deliver a unified market presence.

Activate Private Bank Openings, Lift-Outs, and Local Moments

  • Lead local execution of new Private Bank openings, ensuring each location becomes a visible proof point of Citizens Private Bank in market.

  • Lead Private Wealth lift-out integration from a marketing perspective, partnering with Communications, PW Growth Strategy, and regional leadership to amplify announcements, build landing pages, coordinate photoshoots, support advisor onboarding, and elevate visibility from Day 1 through sustained market activation.

  • Develop and manage a local sponsorship strategy across Southern California, identifying high-impact events, community partnerships, thought leadership opportunities, and experiential activations that build brand awareness, deepen centers-of-influence relationships, and drive pipeline.

Straddle Strategy and Execution

  • Operate comfortably in both the strategy room and the execution trenches, from leadership discussions to collateral development and event logistics.

  • Bring local market intelligence back to the central PB/PW Marketing team to help shape brand, content, media, and product priorities.

  • Build a repeatable, scalable Southern California operating model that can serve as a blueprint for future growth markets.

Build Trusted Relationships Across the Ecosystem

  • Own executive relationship management across the Southern California ecosystem, becoming deeply embedded with PB and PW leadership, advisors, bankers, regional executives, and centers of influence to align priorities and accelerate local growth.

  • Partner across CFG, including Enterprise Marketing, Communications, LRC, Brand, Events, and external agencies to drive coordinated execution.

  • Serve as the voice of the field, surfacing what's working, what's not, and where additional investment is needed.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • 7+ years of marketing experience, ideally in business-facing roles within HNW/UHNW financial services.

  • Proven ability to balance strategy and execution.

  • Exceptional relationship-building skills and credibility with senior bankers, advisors, executives, and external partners.

  • Strong bias toward action, resourcefulness, and adaptability.

  • Integrated marketing expertise spanning brand, events, content, social, digital, paid media, collateral, and sales enablement.

  • Experience supporting advisor- or relationship-driven businesses such as wealth management, private banking, or professional services is strongly preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience integrating new advisory teams, managing local sponsorship strategies, and building trusted executive relationships in complex, fast-moving markets.

  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout Southern California and periodically to other key markets.

  • Sound judgment, executive presence, and the polish to represent Citizens Private Bank at the highest levels.

WHY THIS ROLE. WHY NOW.

This is not a maintenance role. This is a build role, arriving at one of the most exciting moments in Citizens Private Bank and Private Wealth's growth story.

You will:

  • Join one of the fastest-growing private banking and wealth businesses in the country.

  • Gain the equivalent of years of experience in a matter of months by operating across strategy, brand, field marketing, events, advisor enablement, and executive engagement.

  • Work directly with PB and PW senior leadership, regional executives, and enterprise marketing leaders.

  • Help define the national blueprint for how Citizens scales Private Bank and Private Wealth marketing across growth markets.

  • Build something that did not exist before, and own it.

If you're energized by growth, thrive in fast-moving and ambiguous environments, and want to help shape the future of premium private banking and wealth marketing on the West Coast, we want to meet you.

  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
