As a Sr Advanced Electrical Engineer here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will play a critical role in advancing the design and development of sophisticated electrical systems and components within aerospace applications. You will leverage your expertise to innovate, optimize, and ensure the highest standards of electrical engineering excellence in cutting-edge aerospace projects.


You will report directly to our Sr Systems Eng Manager and you’ll work out of our Cambridge, ON location on an onsite work schedule.


In this role, you will impact Honeywell Aerospace's ability to deliver next-generation aerospace electrical solutions that enhance safety, reliability, and performance, contributing to the company's leadership in the aerospace industry.


Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop an in-depth understanding of our HC series Reaction Wheel Assemblies (RWAs). Understating of serial protocols, analog circuits, and general programming skills (C, Python, LabVIEW).
  • Work with technicians to troubleshoot RWA test failures and disposition corrective actions. Hands-on experience with lab equipment (Oscilloscopes, DMM’s, signal generators, data loggers, etc.).
  • Focus on improving the overall design and testing of HC RWAs for improved manufacturability. Determine root-cases (Electrical. Mechanical, Software) and compare options to improve yields.
  • Perform worst case circuit analysis. Familiarity with analyses tools like MathCAD, MatLab, Pspice, Python, etc.

Qualifications

The Honeywell Aerospace building is a controlled goods program environment. Candidates must be eligible for CGP and CSP security clearance.


YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in electrical engineering with a focus on advanced electrical systems for mechanisms.

  • Analog circuit and power supply experience
  • FPGA Experience
  • Experience completing worst case analysis for analog circuits
  • RS422/485 communication protocol understanding

  • Ability to develop excellent working relationships with peers and subordinates 
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and compliance in aerospace environments.

The annual base salary range for this position is $95,000 to $130,000 in Cambridge, ON. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell Aerospace considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
