As an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer II here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our manufacturing processes and driving innovation within the aerospace sector. Your expertise will help shape the future of our manufacturing operations, ensuring operational excellence and cost efficiency. 


You will report directly to our Advanced Manufacturing Engineer Manager and you’ll work out of our Cambridge, ON location. 


In this role, you will join the AME team in supporting the Cambridge site’s manufacturing operations by resolving production issues, driving process improvements, and directly contributing to the overall productivity and success of our organization.


Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Define and validate production processes; specify, procure, and commission new equipment; and create clear, operatorready work instructions.
  • Partner with operations to diagnose and resolve daytoday manufacturing issues, ensuring stable and efficient operations.
  • Lead structured problemsolving efforts (RCCA, 5Why, Fishbone) and drive corrective and preventive actions through full closure.
  • Engineer custom tools, jigs, and fixtures to improve repeatability, ergonomics, and throughput.
  • Lead continuousimprovement initiatives focused on cycletime reduction, waste elimination, and process automation.
  • Work closely with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and Design Engineering to resolve technical challenges.
  • Analyze production data to identify trends, quantify process capability (Cp/Cpk), and recommend targeted improvements.
  • Support NPI activities by translating design intent into manufacturable processes, coordinating pilot builds, and ensuring smooth rampup to fullrate production.

Qualifications

The Honeywell Aerospace building is a controlled goods program environment. Candidates must be eligible for CGP and CSP security clearance.


YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering 
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in advanced manufacturing engineering and process optimization. 

WE VALUE

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in the Aerospace industry and/or Electronics manufacturing.
  • Experience in implementing advanced manufacturing technologies and processes. 
  • Experience in the use of Lean tools
  • Experience with design and development processes
  • Basic knowledge of the field's standards and specifications
  • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong communication skills
  • Application of basic engineering techniques to optimize manufacturing processes
  • Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision
  • Willingness to consistently take the initiative to get things done.


The annual base salary range for this position is $70,000 to $95,000 in Cambridge, ON. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell Aerospace considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
