We are seeking a Software Engineer I to join our team. This is a hybrid opportunity based in our Waltham, MA office.
Job Summary
The Associate Software Engineer - Fullstack will work as a member of the software development team focused on security, multifactor authentication, and server components for healthcare security product set. This team is responsible for the architecture, design, and development of features for one of our essential product lines. We are looking for someone who enjoys the challenge of tough technical problems and who wants to work on products helping over 1 million users every day to save time, reducing frustration and providing better patient care. We need someone with a passion for building world-class applications and desire to make an impact on our organization and on solving real-world problems.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for design and delivery of technical components on the server side of our client server application services.
- Experience developing and debugging software in a multi-threaded environment
- Develop full-stack application functionality within a dynamic agile scrum environment.
- Create high quality code testable through automation.
- Create unit and functional automated tests.
- Participate in troubleshooting and resolution of customer issues.
- Other duties as assigned and required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 1-3 years of software development experience, including client-server application development and end-user workflow implementation.
- Working knowledge of Java, JSON, RESTful APIs, JDBC, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, Tomcat, Apache HTTP Server, and Linux.
- Familiarity with React/JavaScript technologies, including ReactJS, Relay, and GraphQL, as well as Java frameworks such as Play, Spring, and Hibernate.
- Understanding of relational database principles and experience with the full software development lifecycle.
- Strong design, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with internal teams, customers, and partners in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience successfully developing and bringing software products to market; Agile/Scrum experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of VMware or Citrix systems is a plus.
This position offers a total compensation range of $97,000.00 to $113,000.00 (inclusive of base salary and variable compensation, such as bonuses and incentives). In addition, more information about Imprivata’s benefit offerings can be found here. This range represents the high and low end of Imprivata’s compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, such as a candidate’s location, skills, experience, and qualifications.
