The Vibe
We're not your typical 9-5 corporate gig. Cyvl is a crew of 20-something tech rebels on a mission to fix America's crumbling streets - and we need your help to blow this thing up in 5 key cities. We move fast, break things, and actually make cities better while we're at it.

The Deal:

  • This isn't your chill summer internship. You'll be:
  • Traveling to 5 different cities (all expenses paid by us!)
  • Creating fire content from our street-mapping data
  • Building viral social campaigns that get city officials sliding into our DMs
  • Working wild hours when needed (late nights? early mornings? welcome to startup life)
  • Turning data into content that makes people actually care about infrastructure

You Should Apply If:

  • You can turn boring data into tweets/reels/TikToks people actually want to watch
  • You're obsessed with what makes content go viral
  • You've got hustle - like, real hustle, not just resume hustle
  • You're down to travel and live out of a suitcase for a bit
  • The idea of shaking up how cities work gets you hyped

Skills That Matter:

  • Social media content creation that actually slaps
  • Basic data viz (or willingness to learn fast)
  • Self-starter energy (we don't have time to micromanage)
  • Quick learner (you'll be drinking from a firehose)

Show Us What You've Got:

  • Make a 60-sec TikTok/Reel answering:
  • "If you had to make a pothole go viral, what would your strategy be? Show us the actual TikTok/Reel you'd create."
  • "What's your superpower that will help us disrupt how cities fix their streets? Back it up with receipts (past projects, content you've created, etc.)"
  • "How do you handle chaos? Tell us about a time when everything was on fire and you still delivered."

This internship is for the bold. If you're looking for something chill with set hours, keep scrolling. If you want to build something that matters while creating content that slaps, let's talk.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
