What you will do
Johnson Controls invites you to apply for a Senior UX Designer role located in Westford, MA. You will lead UX design efforts for access control and video solutions and collaborate with teams in multiple locations. In this role, you will craft visually stunning and intuitive interfaces. You should not only follow trends but set them, bringing originality and innovation to every design. You must be able to justify design decisions with clear reasoning and align visuals with user needs and business goals. You will lead design initiatives aimed at creating intuitive and user-centered digital experiences. You will play a crucial role in shaping the future of how users interact with our products, ensuring seamless and intuitive user experiences across various platforms. This opportunity is based in Westford, MA. It's preferable candidates are commuting distance to this location, or able to relocate. Remote opportunities may be available for the right candidate!
How you will do it
Design user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals
Partner with PMs and engineers to deliver elegant, feasible solutions
Conduct usability testing and iterate based on feedback
Contribute to design systems and UX standards
Support cross-functional collaboration and design reviews
What we look for
Required
5+ years of experience in UX/Product Design
Strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design thinking
Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, or similar tools
Preferred
Experience working with hardware or enterprise products
Experience in developing and using design systems to ensure consistent experience across multiple products and features.
Experience in using flow and visualization tools like Whimsical and Miro to quickly map user flows and processes ahead of creating final designs.
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $110,000 - $145,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This role offers a competitive Bonus plan that will take into account individual, group, and corporate performance. This position includes a competitive benefits package.
