The Senior Third-Party Management (TPM) Analyst serves as the organization's senior subject matter expert for Vendor Risk Management, providing technical leadership, governance oversight, and strategic direction for the TPM program. This role is responsible for driving program maturity, strengthening governance practices, enhancing assessment quality, and influencing enterprise-wide third-party risk decisions for the organization's highest-risk vendor relationships. The Senior TPM Analyst partners across Enterprise Risk Management, Procurement, Information Security, Privacy, Legal, Compliance, Internal Audit, and business stakeholders to improve risk management processes, implement continuous program improvements, and ensure the organization maintains a mature, scalable, and regulatory-compliant third-party risk program.
- Lead governance oversight of Tier 1 and Tier 2 third-party risk assessments, ensuring consistent application of enterprise risk standards and defensible risk decisions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance the effectiveness, scalability, and maturity of the Third-Party Risk Management program.
- Lead quality assurance reviews of complex vendor assessments, challenge risk determinations, and ensure consistency across assessment teams.
- Develop and maintain third-party risk methodologies, assessment playbooks, procedures, governance documentation, and risk standards.
- Develop executive dashboards, Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), metrics, and reporting that provide meaningful insight into third-party risk exposure and program effectiveness.
- Lead oversight of issue management activities, ensuring timely remediation of vendor findings and appropriate escalation of unresolved risks.
- Evaluate complex third-party relationships and provide independent risk challenge regarding onboarding decisions, residual risk acceptance, and ongoing monitoring strategies.
- Mentor junior analysts and provide technical guidance, coaching, and quality review to improve assessment consistency and professional development.
- Identify opportunities to improve automation, reporting, workflows, and third-party risk technology capabilities.
- Lead special projects supporting strategic initiatives, regulatory changes, and continuous enhancement of enterprise third-party governance capabilities.
- 5+ years of experience in third-party risk management, vendor risk management, audit, compliance, or a related governance function.
- Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Information Security, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong understanding of the third party management lifecycle and applicable risk management frameworks.
- Advanced analytical skills with the ability to assess complex risk findings, synthesize information, and recommend practical, risk-based solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing and delivering executive-level reporting.
- Ability to mentor peers and provide effective challenge while influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
- High attention to detail with a strong focus on documentation quality, defensibility, and regulatory readiness.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Proactive and self-directed, with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across functions.
Base Pay Information
The national base pay range at the end is a good-faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental’s assessment of the candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity.
