More about our mission and what we offer.

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Cloud Network Engineer to join our Cloud Networking team. You will leverage your expertise in tooling and automation to build efficient and scalable solutions to maintain and operate our multi-region and multi-cloud network architecture. Your work will help to ensure optimal performance, reliability, cost efficiency, security and scalability across our cloud infrastructure.

How We Work

We operate on a strong belief in automation, programmatic implementation, and reusable design. We’re looking for people who can step back and think holistically about the ecosystem, but also follow through and help implement the design; drawing on the resources across the rest of the platform tribe.

As we grow, managing our cloud networks becomes increasingly complex at scale. We need to sustain this growth by continuously iterating on the services we run, with a focus on availability, security, and ease of use. We’re looking for an engineer with relevant experience who can analyse complex requirements and deliver simple solutions to help our teams achieve our mission with speed and confidence.

What You’ll Be Working On

Design, implement, and maintain tooling to support our multi-region cloud network infrastructures across AWS and GCP, ensuring high availability and performance.

Automate network infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Terraform, Python, Golang or other technologies to drive efficiency and operational consistency.

Analyse network architecture, cloud connectivity, and routing performance to identify optimisation opportunities, implementing solutions to enhance reliability and scalability.

Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud network solutions, while maintaining alignment with organisational goals and best practices.

What You Need

We are fully aware that it is uncommon for a candidate to have all skills required and we fully support everyone in learning new skills with us. So if you have some of those listed below and are eager to learn more we do want to hear from you!

  • Significant years of experience in DevOps, platform or cloud engineering, ideally, but not necessarily with some emphasis on cloud networking (AWS and/or GCP).
  • Strong experience with general purpose AWS or GCP services such as EC2, VPCs, Transit Gateway/CloudWAN, Lambda, ECS, etc.

Nice to have:

  • Some experience in designing and implementing cloud architectures in GCP or Azure or a hybrid setup with AWS
  • Substantial hands on experience in building tools and applications using at least on general purpose programming language (Preferably Golang and/or Python)
  • Solid command of general software design principles needed to build robust, scalable and maintainable infrastructure orchestration solutions
  • Experience in building, deploying & operating complex, multi-layered systems across including development, testing, deployment and operation using the applicable CNCF tools
  • Skilled in using infrastructure-as-code and configuration management and automation. (Terraform, Ansible)
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across distributed and hybrid/remote teams.
