Job Description

About the role:

  • We’re looking for an Engineering Lead to join the Business Account Management team - the team behind the feature that empowers businesses to grant custom access and set spending limits for their team members, streamlining the management of their team and business expenses.

  • Our mission is to power small and medium businesses to get more done - by giving them control of their team’s global money movements.

What will you be working on?

  • This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll not only guide the team but also actively contribute to the codebase alongside your engineers.
  • Support your team's growth and ensure they deliver high-impact work.
  • Guide architecture and technical design decisions, ensuring we build systems that scale globally.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support bank integrations and expand our payment network.
  • Drive engineering excellence through code reviews, mentoring and adoption of best practices.
  • Understand and contribute to team systems deeply enough to be hands-on when needed.
  • Become knowledgeable about the broader Business product at Wise, and shaping how we could improve it as a whole.
