Senior Product Manager

Our team is expanding and we are currently hiring a Senior Product Manager who will manage the development and implementation process of our products and services. 
Responsibilities:
  • Development of new product and/or new revisions of existing product.
  • Plan for and manage personnel resources for engineering projects related to assigned products. Work with engineering group/functional managers to procure resources.
  • Manage all technical / engineering work related to assigned products. Understand all technical aspects of assigned products to effectively optimize development activities, minimize risk, ensure complete and solid designs, ensure complete validation and verification criteria, and ensure prudent technical and design decisions. Collaborate with a lead engineer on these activities.
  • Manage projects related to assigned products, balancing requirements, budget, and schedule.
  • Develop project requirements. Support Product Requirements Document and Market Requirements Specification creation. Manage products through the product development cycle, which includes:
    • Concept phase including task, project and/or product charter.
    • Feasibility phase including feasibility studies and project proposal, schedule, and budget.
    • Prototype phase including production and supplier planning.
    • Alpha and beta phases including customer validation.
    • Release phase including product design transfer and release (see below).
    • Sustaining engineering and end of life.
  • Managing product release activities directly or through engineer and project manager designees, including the following activities:
    • Work with Manufacturing and Purchasing to select and qualify vendors.
    • Management and creation of product BOMs (bill of material)
    • Assembling Engineering Change Request documentation packets.
    • Lead transfer of new products from Engineering to Production.
    • Ensure creation of customer documentation through the technical publication group.
Basic Qualifications:
  • BS in ME, EE, CS, CSE, Physics or equivalent technical degree or experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years of increasing managerial experience is required. 
  • MBA degree a plus.
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend and speak English sufficiently well to perform job functions

U.S. BASE SALARY RANGE

$152,534.40 - $228,801.60

This base salary range reflects the typical compensation for this role across U.S. locations.

Our salary ranges are determined by role and level; individual pay is determined based on

multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, work

location, and internal equity. The range provides the opportunity for growth and progression as

you develop within the role.

Base pay is one part of our U.S. total compensation package which includes eligibility in the

Axcelis Team Incentive bonus plan, and comprehensive benefits package (for regular

employees working 20+ hours a week).
