As a Senior Product Manager, responsibilities include enhancing network automation and software products portfolio. The Network Technology team develops interconnection standards, datacenter and network architecture, and network and hardware engineering solutions. This group implements innovative advancements to redefine the network platform, ensuring Akamai remains a key participant in shaping the future of global connectivity.

As a Senior Product Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing Network Technologies' long-term product strategy, life-cycles, and roadmaps while coordinating with business unit management and sales teams for alignment.
  • Working directly with business units to evaluate and PoC new product innovations and execution for products.
  • Developing comprehensive business analysis and financial models to support business cases and long-term product planning.
  • Becoming the trusted expert in industry trends and market dynamics related to direct and adjacent areas for assigned product lines.
  • Developing and analyzing Network Technologies product KPI's and operational product metrics to advise product teams, business units and other internal stakeholders.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Possess experience with product management, product development or equivalent experience.
  • Have understanding of product management discipline – including product lifecycle management and some experience with product line strategic planning.
  • Have understanding of CDN, networking, interconnection and cloud technologies, as well as ability to learn new. 

  • Demonstrate background in Product Management with Network and Software Engineering teams.

  • Have ability to assess new markets, analyze business opportunities and execute against them.

  • Be a great communicator, who has the ability to mitigate between marketing and engineering.
