At WHOOP, we’re on a mission to unlock human performance and healthspan. WHOOP empowers members to perform at a higher level through a deeper understanding of their bodies and daily lives.

We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to join the Growth Product team and own critical strategic areas of how we retain members. The role will be tasked with improving trial conversion rate and member retention rate through experimentation with a team of dedicated engineering, design, analytics, and lifecycle marketing resources.

Initiatives that this role could own include, but are not limited to: onboarding, gamification, community network effects, loyalty, ecosystem, involuntary churn, and business model development. This role will be expected to operate as a self-sufficient strategic leader who translates vague concepts in these areas into customer and business value and partners closely with executive stakeholders in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience with consumer subscription products, mobile app development, connecting product work to business outcomes, and possess new core competencies that will uplevel the Growth Product team and the business.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and maintain the product strategy for several areas at once that pertain to trial conversion or member retention.

  • Own KPIs over the long term — exhibit mastery of the member experience, prioritize how best to improve it, and make roadmap decisions to ensure the business is hitting its ambitious growth goals.

  • Lead end-to-end product discovery, delivery, and iteration — contributing across research, ideation, requirements, prototyping, and testing — and partner deeply with Engineering, Design, Analytics, and Lifecycle Marketing to ship high-impact solutions on accelerated timelines.

  • Design and run a rigorous experimentation program: form explicit hypotheses, validate assumptions, structure A/B tests, and translate learnings into a compounding roadmap of wins.

  • Write crisp product requirement documents and operate as the directly responsible individual for execution quality from discovery through launch and post-launch iteration.

  • Act as the strategic voice for the customer — speak to member needs, pain points, and behavior better than anyone else in the company, and translate that depth into product decisions and cross-functional alignment.

  • Anticipate complexity and proactively de-risk long-term initiatives through smart scoping, phasing, and technical foresight in partnership with Engineering.

  • Partner with Marketing, Operations, Finance, and executive leadership to influence company-level growth strategy and align cross-functional initiatives around your roadmap.

  • Raise the bar for product craft by bringing new core competencies in at least one of the following spaces: onboarding, gamification, community network effects, loyalty, ecosystem, involuntary churn, and business model development.

  • Contribute to and improve the best practices of the team and look for ways to improve the team’s operating cadence and camaraderie.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5–8+ years of product management experience (or equivalent in growth/related roles) with a track record of multiple shipped products that produced measurable, long-term business impact.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop coherent product strategy from ambiguous problem spaces and then translating strategy into phased, executable roadmaps. Ideally in the space of at least one of the following: onboarding, gamification, community network effects, loyalty, ecosystem, involuntary churn, and business model development.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; highly proficient in product analytics tools (Amplitude, Sigma, or equivalent) and able to independently pull, model, and interpret data without analyst support.

  • Direct experience with consumer subscription products, digital consumer growth funnels, and best-in-class onboarding, gamification, and/or social mechanics including running structured experimentation programs at scale.

  • Deep customer empathy and product intuition paired with a rigorous, data-informed mindset; able to read between the lines of customer feedback and form/validate hypotheses explicitly.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication; proven ability to influence executive stakeholders, drive alignment across senior cross-functional partners, and articulate trade-offs to technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Completely self-sufficient and known for being highly dependable; comfortable defining problems, structuring approaches, and driving clarity in fast-moving, loosely-defined spaces.

  • Track record of mentoring more junior PMs and raising the craft bar of the teams around you.

  • Highly organized, adaptable, and energized by a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

  • Passionate about fitness, wellness, and the mission of WHOOP.

  • Strong commitment to embracing and leveraging AI tools in day-to-day tasks, especially in harnessing data to make quick and well-informed decisions, and ensuring AI-assisted work aligns with the same high-quality standards as personal contributions.
