The Senior QA Engineer is an integral member of an Engineering team, analyzing and testing a high quality Vestmark product suite. The Senior QA Engineer will be responsible for reviewing functional requirements and user stories from internal stakeholders, designing test plans, writing test cases, and executing test strategies and performing testing for our new suite of products. You will be a champion of quality on our team, working to help elevate the work of those around you to meet the quality standards our clients expect.

Responsibilities:

  • Apply expertise in specific product areas to ensure that all our products meet documented acceptance criteria and client quality expectations
  • Instill QA Best Practices in our engineering teams by leading manual and automated test case development, execution and tracking
  • Peer review of automated test code, whether it be scripted UI tests or validating acceptable coverage levels for developer unit tests.
  • Provide feedback on product performance and user experience
  • Contribute to the review of product documentation/release notes for new versions

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5-10+ years of Software Quality Assurance experience, ideally with a focus in financial technology or related domain
  • Experience working with a team of Software QA Engineers in both manual and automated testing
  • Experience working in a successful CICD environment using tools such as Jira, Bitbucket, GitHub , Jenkins, Docker and Gradle
  • Microsoft SQL Server or similar DB experience; you should be able to retrieve and manipulate data
  • Working knowledge of a scripting language, python a plus
  • Working knowledge of Ruby on Rails
  • Experience with web service and API testing
  • Performance testing experience, Locust.io a plus
  • Coded UI Automation, experience with Selenium WebDriver or Playwright preferred
  • Foundational understanding of git or other content version control system
  • Demonstrated ability to work on a small team in a fast-paced environment with the ability to change directions as priorities shift
  • Positive attitude with a strong desire to learn, grow professionally and have a positive impact on the company, its culture and its products

Desired Skills:

  • Experienced in using AI tools, such as Claude Code, for all aspects of the QA practice.
  • Understand the deployment and maintenance of an N-Tier application in either manual or automated fashion
  • Experience testing with Postman
  • Integration testing; inbound file processing, outbound file creation, API testing, configuration testing
  • Experience with BETA, APL, FIX, IDC, Reuters, Morningstar or Bloomberg
  • Experience with log collection and analysis, APM and DB monitoring tools
  • Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, resolve and explain system level issues affecting application
  • Work across teams and disciplines to find an equitable solution to problems that arise

Education:

  • BS degree in Finance, Computer Science or equivalent work experience. MSCS is a plus

Vestmark takes a market-based approach to compensation to ensure we pay fairly and competitively. Compensation for this role depends on several factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, job scope and location.

In addition to base salary, Vestmark offers a comprehensive total rewards package, which includes equity-based grants for all new hires, company-paid medical premiums of 90%, a competitive time-off program, and other variable compensation, if eligible.

$107,000$125,000 USD
