We are seeking a Senior Manager of US Payroll to lead the delivery of accurate, compliant and timely payroll for our multi-state US employee population.
This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced payroll leader who enjoys bringing structure, consistency and clarity to payroll operations. The role offers an opportunity to lead a critical function, partner closely with internal stakeholders and vendors, and ensure payroll processes support both compliance and employee trust.
What You’ll Do
Own end-to-end payroll delivery, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
Lead year-end payroll activities including reconciliation, tax validation, and W-2 readiness
Thoroughly validate vendor payroll outputs prior to payroll close and statutory filings
Own day-to-day payroll vendor relationships, including service delivery, issue management and ongoing performance oversight.
Partner with internal stakeholders to resolve payroll issues efficiently and proactively
Establish and maintain strong payroll controls across employee lifecycle events, earnings and deductions, off cycle payrolls, and year-end statutory reporting to ensure accuracy, compliance and audit readiness.
Proactively identify payroll risks early and escalate appropriately
Maintain documentation and processes to support audits and compliance reviews
Partner with Finance, HR, and Legal on payroll-related inquiries
Participate as a key contributor in payroll implementation and improvement projects
Drive process improvements to reduce manual effort and operational risk
Payroll tax compliance oversight and support
Foster a culture of accuracy, ownership, and proactive problem-solving
Operate independently day-to-day while maintaining alignment and transparency with leadership
Collaborate cross-functionally to support business needs and growth
What You Bring
8+ years of payroll experience, including leadership responsibility
Experience managing multi-state, multi-entity payroll
Experience with payroll implementations, including Workday
Experience operating within an outsourced payroll processing model
Hands-on experience with Workday and Ceridian Dayforce payroll systems
Demonstrated ownership of year-end payroll processes as well as statutory reporting, reconciling, and balancing activities
Strong working knowledge of payroll compliance and regulatory requirements
Sound judgment and strong attention to detail
Ability to manage complexity while maintaining accuracy and control
About the Compensation:
The base salary range for this role is determined based on several factors. These include but are not limited to job accountabilities; skill sets; experience and training; certifications; work location; competitive market rates and other business needs. At Galderma, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on a unique combination of factors for each role. A reasonable estimate of the hiring range for this role is $155,000-$180,000.
In addition to base salary, we provide an opportunity to participate in an annual short-term incentive program that is based on corporate performance with a multiplier focused on individual performance.
