Assured is on a mission to modernize insurance. Claims processing (i.e. should we pay this claim?), while often overlooked, is the foundation of the entire industry. It’s currently highly manual, involving phone calls, faxes, and gut instinct, costing tens of billions of dollars a year. We can do better.

At Assured, we provide large insurers with the software solutions they need to win in a modern, technology-driven world. From self-service claim-filing software to backend fraud detection, we’re the engine that powers claims processing for some of the largest insurers in the world.

The challenges we face are deep and diverse, from creating digital experiences that provide comfort and clarity to claimants at their most stressed and vulnerable to orchestrating large-scale ML-driven decision-making on billions of dollars of claims payments, life at Assured is dynamic, collaborative, and rewarding.

We’re looking for a Senior Manager of Special Projects to work at the heart of our most important strategic and operational work. This role is for someone who thrives in ambiguity, moves fast and takes pride in delivering exceptional output across a wide range of problems. You will report to the Head of Strategy & Ops, focusing on delivering high-priority, cross-functional projects across strategy, operations and GTM. After an initial stint in the Special Projects role, there will be opportunities to shift to other functional areas, all with a focus on driving the most important work within the business.

What you'll doDrive strategic initiatives

📈 Support end-to-end execution of company priorities, from initial problem framing and analysis through to implementation and accountability.
🧩 Structure complex problems using rigorous analytical frameworks, and turn data and qualitative insight into clear, actionable recommendations.
📝 Prepare executive-ready materials (strategic memos, one-pagers, and internal communications) that distill complexity into clear narratives.

Act as a force multiplier

🤝 Coordinate on cross-functional programs, coordinating across departments (Product, Engineering, Sales, Finance, Legal) on projects that don’t fit neatly into any one team.
🎯 Help manage the day-to-day "strategic agenda" of the business by tracking key initiatives and flagging blockers or decisions that need resolution.
🚀 Step into gaps across the organization where there's no clear owner but a high need, and bring structure, momentum, and clarity.

Support our GTM functions

🌐 Partner with sales, marketing and client engagement teams to solve cross functional issues and provide “surge support” in times of high demand.
📊 Work closely with the operational teams across sales, marketing and client engagement to develop customer facing strategic meeting materials (decks, memos, etc) that drive the most important conversations with our customers.

What you'll bring

💼 3-5 years of experience, including at least 2-3 years at a top-tier management consulting firm (Bain, McKinsey, BCG or equivalent).
⚡ Experience in an operating role and ability to apply strong problem-solving skills in a fast-moving, resource-constrained environment.
💬 Exceptional written and verbal communication, and can drive complexity into clarity for any audience.
📊 Strong analytical horsepower and are comfortable building market analyses and strategic frameworks from scratch.
✅ Execution-oriented mindset to follow through and get things done without being managed.
🌟 High degree of ownership and a low ego - no task is too big or too small.
