What will I be doing? 
As the Senior Manager, Human Resources Business Partner supporting ScanScape Operations, you will serve as the primary HR partner and strategic advisor for a geographically dispersed workforce of more than 1,300 permanent part-time field employees across the United States. You will provide strategic and day-to-day HR guidance to operational leaders and employees, lead the onboarding function through direct oversight of the HR Onboarding Analyst, and drive initiatives related to employee relations, performance management, engagement, and retention, while setting the strategic vision to transform compliance and workforce effectiveness across the group, to support ScanScape's business objectives.

Job Responsibilities 

HR Business Partnership

  • Serve as the primary HR partner for ScanScape field operations and business leaders, providing guidance on employee-related matters across a workforce of 1,300+ employees based across the United States.
  • Build strong relationships with operational leaders to understand business challenges and provide practical HR solutions.
  • Partner with leaders to improve employee engagement, retention, productivity, and overall workforce effectiveness.
  • Analyze workforce trends and recommend actions to address turnover, engagement, attendance, and performance concerns.
  • Support organizational changes, restructuring efforts, and workforce realignment initiatives when needed.
  • Lead job redesign initiatives in response to technological developments, including automation and AI adoption, to keep workforce structures fit for purpose.

Onboarding & Employee Experience

  • Lead the onboarding function for ScanScape through direct oversight of the HR Onboarding Analyst.
  • Ensure a consistent, compliant, and positive onboarding experience for all newly hired employees.
  • Monitor onboarding completion, new hire readiness, and early-stage retention metrics.
  • Partner with Recruiting, Training, and the Field Operations teams to ensure seamless transitions from candidate to employee.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that enhance the employee onboarding experience and operational efficiency.

Employee Relations & Performance Management

  • Serve as the primary escalation point for employee relations issues, investigations, corrective actions, policy interpretation, and conflict resolution.
  • Partner with leaders to address performance concerns and facilitate progressive discipline processes when necessary.
  • Coach leaders on employee management best practices, difficult conversations, accountability, and documentation.
  • Ensure consistent application of company policies and employment practices across multiple states and regions.
  • Mitigate organizational risk by ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies.

Talent & Leadership Support

  • Guide leaders through performance review processes and performance improvement planning.
  • Partner with leaders to identify employee development opportunities and internal career growth pathways.
  • Support succession planning and talent assessment discussions for operational leadership positions.
  • Assist leaders in building high-performing and engaged teams.

HR Operations & Compliance

  • Partner closely with Payroll, Recruiting, and other HR Centers of Excellence to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Monitor workforce data and HR metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Partner closely with Legal & Employment team to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations.
  • Define and lead a strategic vision to transform HR compliance practices and risk management across the ScanScape hourly workforce.
  • Support annual HR cycles, including performance management, compensation administration, compliance initiatives, and employee engagement activities.
  • Maintain accurate HR documentation and ensure proper recordkeeping practices.

Requirements 

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of progressive Human Resources experience preferred, including HR Business Partner, Employee Relations, HR Generalist, or Operational HR leadership experience, with demonstrated senior leadership impact.
  • Significant experience managing a large, geographically dispersed US hourly paid workforce required.
  • Demonstrated expertise in employee relations, investigations, performance management, conflict resolution, and employment law.
  • Experience supporting multi-state employee populations and managing complex employee relations matters.
  • Experience leading onboarding programs and employee lifecycle processes preferred.
  • Previous people leadership experience, including coaching and development of direct reports.
  • Strong understanding of HR compliance requirements and employment regulations.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with a proven ability to influence, consult, coach, and build relationships with senior leaders across the business.
  • Proven ability to influence leaders and drive positive business outcomes through HR solutions.
  • Demonstrated strategic vision and experience leading compliance transformation initiatives across large hourly workforces.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to leverage workforce data and trends.
  • Experience with UKG or similar HRIS platforms preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office applications as well as passion and experience of working with AI tools.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize competing demands, and effectively support leaders and employees across multiple US time zones.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.  An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. The salary range for this role is $90,000 to $100,000 USD. 

This job is also eligible for bonus pay.
