We are seeking an exceptional Senior Human Resources Business Partner to serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and drive transformational people strategies that accelerate business performance, organizational effectiveness, and growth. This is a highly visible role for a strategic HR leader who thrives in dynamic environments and is passionate about shaping the future of talent, leadership, and culture.

As a strategic partner to business executives, you will align HR strategies with business priorities, enabling leaders to achieve ambitious goals while fostering an engaging, high-performing, and inclusive workplace. You will connect leaders with the full breadth of HR expertise, leveraging strong partnerships across HR Centers of Excellence to bring the right insights, solutions, and capabilities to influence critical business decisions, and lead initiatives that strengthen organizational capability, leadership effectiveness, workforce planning, and talent sustainability.

Strategic Business Partnership

  • Serve as a trusted advisor and thought partner to senior business leaders, providing strategic guidance on organizational, talent, and workforce priorities while connecting leaders with specialized HR expertise as needed.
  • Translate business objectives into impactful people strategies that drive growth, performance, innovation, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Influence and challenge leadership teams constructively, bringing an independent and forward-looking HR perspective to business decisions.
  • Partner with executives to build high-performing teams and create an environment where talent can thrive.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive talent strategies that ensure the organization has the capabilities and leadership pipeline required for current and future success.

Organization Effectiveness and Workforce Planning

  • Lead organizational design, workforce planning, restructuring, and transformation initiatives that enable business agility and long-term growth.
  • Assess current and future workforce requirements, identifying critical capability gaps and developing strategic talent plans.
  • Drive succession planning and talent discussions to ensure strong leadership pipelines and organizational resilience.
  • Partner with leaders on performance management and compensation decisions, ensuring alignment with business goals, talent strategies, and organizational values.
  • Provide expert coaching and guidance on complex employee relations, leadership, and organizational challenges while balancing business outcomes and risk management.

Talent and Leadership

  • Champion leadership development and talent initiatives that strengthen organizational capability and accelerate business performance.
  • Lead change management efforts that support organizational transformation, business innovation, and cultural evolution.
  • Use workforce analytics and data-driven insights to inform decision-making, identify trends, and shape business strategies.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and leadership excellence.

HR Programs & Transformation

  • Collaborate closely with HR Centers of Excellence to identify business needs, bring forward specialized expertise, and deliver integrated people solutions that support business priorities.
  • Provide strategic consultation on HR programs, policies, and practices with appropriate HR experts to maximize business impact and employee experience.
  • Drive continuous improvement across HR processes, programs, and operating models, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Lead and contribute to enterprise-wide HR transformation initiatives and strategic projects.
  • Establish meaningful metrics and success measures to evaluate outcomes and continuously improve organizational performance.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience as an HR Business Partner supporting senior leaders and complex organizations, within the financial services industry.
  • Demonstrated success influencing executive stakeholders and leading organizational change.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to align people strategies to business outcomes.
  • Expertise in organizational design, workforce planning, talent management, leadership development, and change management.
  • Proven ability to leverage analytics and insights to drive decisions and measure impact.
  • Exceptional communication, consulting, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.

This role can be based in either our Jersey City or Boston locations and will be a hybrid role, with a minimum of three days in office.

   

Salary Range

$130k-$180k base salary + annual bonus target

BBH and its affiliates' compensation program includes base salary, discretionary bonuses, and profit-sharing. The anticipated base salary range(s) shown above are only for the indicated location(s) and may differ in other locations due to cost of living and labor considerations. Base salaries may vary based on factors such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.
