Senior Director, Industrial Design
This role responsible for creating the product experience for all our products touching Ninja and Shark brands.
You will be part of a team that pushes the boundaries of design paradigms and is able to quickly switch back and forth from operating at a high level as well as on the ground level tactically.
This Design Labs team will act like a consultancy serving SharkNinja and working closely with the team and have deep understanding of the culture and business engine.
This individual will have a strong understanding of customer needs, engineering needs and an ability to lead and execute on all our innovative products to meet that demand.
In this role, you will:• You will decide on all industrial design for our products, from styling and aesthetics to functionality and experience. These design decisions impact our principal end-customer experiences and their overall appreciation for our products.• You will be highly skilled in communicating design visions and concepts through sketch, CAD and renderings working closely with engineering.• You have proficiency in SolidWorks, KeyShot, Photoshop and Illustrator.• You will develop deep comprehension of the consumer needs and trends in the home appliance space.• You will conduct research into emerging design and technology trends.• You will present our design ideas, concepts and products to customers and gather feedback from our end-customers and leadership team.• You will create a detailed and inspiring vision on how to identify and meet customers' needs for business aircraft.• You will lead, plan, organize and execute projects with a team of highly skilled and diverse designers.• You will collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to rapidly experiment and iterate on design concepts to bring them to reality.
As our ideal candidate• You have a university degree in Industrial Design or equivalent, with an MBA preferably.• You have 10+ years of experience in Industrial Design, Interior Design, R&D and related activities.• You have a track record of design innovation successes.• You have a good understanding of the consumer product industry, key players, markets, and customers.• You understand how to build and evolve design language systems.• You are creative, collaborative and driven to innovate.• You are a solid communicator to engage people and generate buy-in.• You have experience leading a team.
Salary and Other Compensation: The annual salary range for this position is displayed below. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
Pay Range
$200,000-$275,000 USD
