Our client, a mission-driven, fast-growing private cloud company and leader in real-time analytics, data warehousing, and AI workloads, has exclusively engaged Solutus Legal Search to assist its executives in hiring a Senior Counsel, Partners & Channel.

This attorney will be an early member of the company’s legal team, supporting its global channel, partnerships, and alliances business. Reporting to the Associate General Counsel, Channel, Partners, and Public Sector, the attorney will lead strategic partner transactions and help develop scalable contracting processes as the business expands.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-value, strategic transactions with sophisticated technology partners and help shape the company’s expanding global partnerships business. The role offers meaningful ownership of complex deals, close collaboration with business leadership, and the opportunity to build the contracting frameworks and processes needed to support continued growth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the structuring, drafting, and negotiation of complex global partner and indirect distribution agreements, including reseller, referral, managed service provider (MSP), original equipment manufacturer (OEM), and strategic alliance arrangements.
  • Negotiate consulting services agreements and subcontracts with systems integrators and service provider partners.
  • Advise channel, partnerships, and alliances leadership on deal structure, negotiation strategy, legal risk, and commercial solutions.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Product, Privacy, Security, Finance, Tax, Engineering, Operations, and Compliance on transactions and related legal and regulatory matters.
  • Develop and improve templates, playbooks, policies, training, and contracting workflows to support a growing global partnerships program.

Qualifications

  • Strong academic credentials, membership in good standing in at least one U.S. state bar, and eligibility to practice in-house in the state of residence.
  • 6+ years of relevant legal experience, ideally combining training at a top-tier law firm with in-house experience at a technology company.
  • Substantial hands-on experience supporting technology partnerships and channel transactions, including reseller, referral, OEM, MSP, systems integrator, and alliance arrangements.
  • Strong understanding of self-managed software and SaaS commercial models, software licensing, professional services, and collaboration or co-marketing agreements.
  • Excellent judgment and business orientation, with the ability to translate complex legal issues into practical advice and work effectively with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.
  • Experience with U.S. public sector (federal, state, and local) channel arrangements, government contracts, procurement vehicles, or related regulatory requirements is a plus.
