We are looking for a Senior Brand Protection Associate to join Collectors. The primary objective of this position is to ensure that fraudulent products are accurately identified and removed from the standard operational production flow as well as provide additional support to both internal and external Brand Protection initiatives.

This role will report to the Senior Brand Protection Manager and work out of our Jersey City office. 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Function as one of our leading in-house experts in detecting counterfeit and/or tampered products for the PSA brand and other Collectibles subsidiaries (i.e., PCGS and Wata).

  • Thoroughly examine all physical holders, labels, LOAs, COAs and certification stickers submitted under the standard review, reholder and CRC service levels as well as escalations from other divisions, such as eBay AG, to ensure we accurately identify questionable items before they are forwarded through the standard operational flow.

  • Conduct physical audits of holders and labels stored at PSA facilities to ensure products are adhering to quality standards set by the Brand Protection team. 

  • Collaborate with CRC, the Brand Protection Customer Specialist, and/or grading to resolve issues that arise in relation to questionable items identified through the holder/label review process.

  • Collaborate with the Senior Brand Protection Manager in developing training materials and schedules for PSA authenticator certification programs. 

  • Collaborate with and provide onsite support to other Brand Protection team members as it pertains to any ongoing fraud-related cases/investigations. 

  • Maintain internal records for all orders/items being examined, verified and/or escalated to the customer relations teams.

  • Assist with digital reviews of PSA-branded products to identify, report, and remove counterfeit and/or tampered products from the marketplace.

  • Attend onsite grading events to perform holder/label reviews in-person and other Brand Protection-related functions as needed.

  • Assist in maintaining current Brand Protection guides to identify and document both legitimate and counterfeit PSA products.

  • Assist the Senior Brand Protection Manager in building and maintaining PSA’s holder and label physical exemplar library and digital database.

  • Function as the primary training officer for the PSA authenticator certification program for the east coast region. 

  • Lead by example and be a champion of all company policies, including safety, attendance & security. 

Who You Are: 

  • 1+ years of direct, professional experience assembling and disassembling PSA-branded products.

  • 1+ years of experience performing quality assurance-level inspections of PSA-branded products.

  • Expert level knowledge of PSA’s past and present holders, labels, certification stickers, certificates of authenticity, and letters of authenticity.

  • Proficient understanding of PSA’s authentication and grading processes. 

  • Possess general card/collectibles industry knowledge.

  • Possess above average knowledge of the various online marketplaces and social media platforms such as eBay, Offer Up, Mercari, Etsy, Instagram, Facebook Marketplace, YouTube, hobby forums/chat groups, etc.

  • Possesses ability to clearly explain complex information and engage an audience. 

  • Ability to tailor training programs to different audiences and skill levels. 

  • Communicate clearly, effectively, and professionally with others both verbally and in writing.

  • Strong customer/client-focused mindset.

  • Possesses experience employing creative problem-solving skills.

  • Collaborative and team-oriented to ensure positive results are produced and goals/objectives met.

  • Proficient in various online meeting and messaging platforms/sites.

  • Working knowledge of standard Google and/or Microsoft Office products.

Hourly Range: The hourly range for this position is $30-$35. Entry level operations positions generally start at an hourly rate of $17. Actual compensation in this range will be based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including location, job level, prior experience, and skill set. This role may be eligible for bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation, please ask your recruiter for details.
