The Senior Bookkeeper & Payroll Accountant will manage financial reporting, general ledger and payroll activities, and support month-end processes while ensuring compliance and improving accounting practices.
We're looking for an experienced Senior Bookkeeper & Payroll Accountant to join our team in Ridgefield Park, New Jersey. In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, managing general ledger and payroll activities, and supporting month and quarter-end close processes. You'll work closely with various departments to analyze inventory data, maintain compliance with internal controls, and drive continuous improvement in accounting practices.
- Bookkeeping or Accounting Certificate
- 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping and payroll experience in the U.S., including sales tax.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and payroll regulations – an advantage
- Familiarity with payroll systems (such as ADP, Paychex, or similar) — strong advantage.
- Proficiency with SAP Business ByDesign, COSTGUARD, or equivalent ERP systems (advantageous).
- Advanced Excel skills and high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Experience with SOX compliance - an advantage.
