Job Description Summary

For over forty years, HarbourVest has been home to a committed team of professionals with an entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to deliver impactful solutions to our clients and investing partners. As our global firm grows, we continue to add individuals who seek a collaborative, open-door culture that values diversity and innovative thinking.

In our collegial environment that’s marked by low turnover and high energy, you’ll be inspired to grow and thrive. Here, you will be encouraged to build on your strengths and acquire new skills and experiences.

We are committed to fostering an environment of inclusion that promotes mutual respect among all employees. Understanding and valuing these differences optimizes the potential of both the individual and the firm.

HarbourVest is an equal opportunity employer.

This position will be a hybrid work arrangement. You will receive 18 remote workdays per quarter to use at your discretion, subject to manager approval. For example, you may choose to work in the office 4 days per week and take one remote day weekly (typically 13 weeks per quarter), leaving 5 additional remote days to be used as needed.

We are looking for a Digital Marketing Senior Associate to act as a key operational partner on our digital marketing team. In this role, you will manage content production workflows in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) — coordinating between content collaborators and our authoring team to keep pages accurate and on schedule — while also coordinating project delivery with our development partners and helping maintain the quality, consistency, and compliance of our web presence.

This role sits at the intersection of content production management and project coordination. Act as the link between partners who need content published and the authoring team who builds it. Handle briefs, reviews, and approvals. Step in to author pages directly when circumstances or timing make it necessary. A successful applicant brings a good foundation in digital marketing, comfort working in a CMS, and the organizational instincts to handle contending workstreams across a cross-functional environment.

The ideal candidate is someone who is

  • A strong planner who coordinates and prioritizes work across several workstreams. This person balances contending partner needs, sets achievable timelines, and adapts proactively when priorities change or new information appears.

  • A clear, audience-aware communicator who can translate a collaborator's business need into an actionable brief for an authoring team, keep multiple parties informed on status and timelines, and adjust tone and detail depending on whether the audience is compliance, IT, or a creative partner.

  • Collaborative and relationship-driven — someone who builds productive working partnerships across teams, functions, and external partners, and who others want to work with, not just coordinate through.

  • Accountable and diligent — someone who holds themselves and their workstreams to high standards, follows through on commitments, and takes personal responsibility for the accuracy and quality of published content.

  • Adaptable and committed — comfortable stepping in to author pages directly, covering for a team lead, learning new tools quickly, or making a judgment call to keep work moving within established guidelines.

  • Process-minded — someone who notices when a workflow is inefficient or a handoff is unclear and proactively suggests or implements improvements rather than working around them.

What you will do:

  • Run AEM content production: Coordinate with the authoring team to keep web pages — including team profiles, news, press releases, fund pages, event content, and thought leadership — accurate and on schedule. Translate team member requests into clear authoring briefs, handle review and approval cycles, and author pages directly when workload or timing requires it.

  • Coordinate digital projects: Serve as a central point of coordination for digital marketing requests, handling intake, triage, and prioritization through Monday.com. Track timelines and dependencies across collaborators, the internal team, and external agency partners, and facilitate clear communication between business teams and development.

  • Implement quality and governance: Maintain authoring workflows, QA checklists, and publishing standards across all content production. Coordinate with UX, design, and development partners on component configuration, template usage, and content formatting. Ensure adherence to brand guidelines and regulatory compliance.

  • Provide operational coverage: Act as a reliable backup for the Director on collaborator communication, content reviews, and workflow management. Build strong cross-functional relationships across marketing, IT, compliance, and regional teams to support smooth collaboration on web projects, localization requests, and compliance workflows.

  • Support analytics and continuous improvement: Monitor website performance using analytics tools, help prepare regular reports on engagement and content performance, translate data into actionable content decisions, and proactively surface UX issues, content gaps, or process inefficiencies.

What you bring:

  • 2–5 years of experience in digital marketing, web content management, or a related field.

  • Hands-on experience authoring and handling content in a web CMS — experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) is strongly preferred; experience with WordPress or a comparable enterprise CMS is also valued.

  • Demonstrated project coordination or project management experience, including running timelines, dependencies, and cross-functional workflows.

  • Experience coordinating work between internal teams and external agencies or development partners.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with project management platforms (e.g., Monday.com, Asana, or Jira).

  • Solid understanding of web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics) and the ability to interpret performance data.

  • Familiarity with AEM authoring workflows, including page templates, components, content fragments, and DAM (Digital Asset Manager) is a plus.

  • Experience in financial services, private equity, or other regulated industries, including exposure to compliance review processes for web content (e.g., regulatory disclosures, cookie policies, country-specific requirements) is a plus.

  • Familiarity with design tools (Figma, Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud) or marketing automation platforms (e.g., Marketo) and their integration with web experiences is a plus.

Education Preferred

  • Bachelor of Arts (B.A) / Bachelor of Science (B.S) or equivalent experience

Experience

  • 5-8 Years experience
