CTP is looking for a Senior Art Director to join our creative team. Someone who can take a brief, distill it to its core, and turn it into work that inspires. A visually-driven, concept-first thinker who knows how to find the big idea, shape a compelling story, and bring others along in the process.

As a senior member of the team, you’ll help shape the work—not just make it. You’ll lead ideas from concept through execution, elevating creativity across accounts, and providing feedback to fellow creatives. You’re as comfortable rolling up your sleeves as you are setting a creative bar, and you believe great work should be both beautifully crafted and strategically grounded.

You’ll work across print, digital, video, social and whatever comes next—partnering closely with writers, designers, strategists, and video producers to create work that connects with people.

In order to be successful in this role:
  • You bring a strong point of view and know how to evolve ideas without losing their core
  • You have a strong understanding of typography, photography, illustration, and design systems
  • You think beyond channels, solving marketing challenges holistically
  • You’ve done this before, with a portfolio that shows craft, taste, and range
  • You contribute to client presentations and new business pitches
  • You foster collaboration and help elevate the work through shared thinking
  • You’re curious about emerging tools, including AI, and comfortable using them to support concepting, exploration, and efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Ability to work in our Boston office 2x/week (Tuesday/Wednesday), or more depending on shoot and project needs
  • Ability to travel independently to shoots and client meetings when needed
  • Mastery of creative tools (Adobe CS, Figma, Gen AI, etc.)
  • 6–8 years of art direction experience developing and leading creative ideas
  • A portfolio of work that showcases creativity and storytelling abilities

Please note, all employees are required to be in-office at our CTP location on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

The salary range for this position is $80,000 – $100,000 annually. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, skills, internal equity, and market data. In addition to base salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package and a collaborative, supportive culture focused on delivering breakthrough ideas for our clients.

We are an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment. If you require a reasonable accommodation to complete any part of the application process or in your work once hired, please contact our Human Resources Department.

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. We do not offer visa sponsorship for this role.

Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
