The position of Senior Accountant will help in a variety of functions within SharkNinja. This will include preparing journal entries, summarizing results, general ledger analysis, and completing account reconciliations. This role will be focused on revenue recognition, . This person will be responsible for maintaining and developing strong accounting processes and internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP. Responsibilities
- Preparing general ledger entries, maintaining records and files, and reconciling accounts
- Validating deductions received from retailers
- Learning and enhancing our current accounting procedures
- Answering accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
- Collaborating with internal and external business partners to resolve transactional issues
- Acting as liaison between Finance and other departments
- Supporting our internal and external audits
- Supporting and maintaining strong internal control policies and procedures
- Identifying and leading opportunities for process improvements
- Providing accounting support to other business units for special projects/ad-hoc reporting and analysis, as necessary
Required experience:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting required, CPA preferred but not required
- 2+ years of public or industry-specific accounting experience
- Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Detail-oriented with proven analytical and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive approach to problem solving
- High degree of business acumen and emotional intelligence
- Team player with ability to effectively and efficiently work cross-functionally
