Sr. Manager of Strategic Sales- Ninja
The Sr. Manager of Strategic Sales is responsible for delivering on SharkNinja’s annual revenue and profitability growth targets for all US accounts. They will achieve these results by developing a clear sales strategy across channels & categories. They will need to develop processes and cadences of product assortment, placement, promotional strategies, including buyer insights to ensure that category performance is achieved and surpassed. The Sr. Manager will also play a key role in scenario planning, identifying what can go wrong, and ensuring a plan exists to drive future growth regardless of circumstance. To be successful, the Sr. Manager of Strategic Sales will need to rapidly establish effective relationships with external customers, internal cross functional team members, to develop a highly transparent communication and leadership style.
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop the product assortment strategy by category and retailer to maximize revenue and margin YoY.
- Develop the placement strategy along with holding sales and marketing alignment meetings to ensure teams have all needed information to successfully confirm placement.
- Ensure confirmed placement leads to desired action, including hitting key financial targets (SFO, door count, sales, margins)
- Collaborate with key accounts and sales analytics leads to develop National promotions including understanding and validating sales lifts, profitability impacts along with confirming actions in SFO.
- Collaborate with Sales team and Trade Marketing to develop promotional activity and activation that validates ROI.
- Collaborate with Sales team and Analytics to develop key promotional strategies by category that include Prime Day, BF and other key period events that focus on improving margin and sales YoY.
- Own and stand for ZERO channel conflicts owning the rules of engagement and collaborating with sales, trade marketing, marketing, PMO etc.
- Develop proper controls to monitor for channel conflicts and report weekly to management.
- Set targets for the Marketing / Product Development teams in pricing needed to achieve assortment placement and major promotional offers
- Identify market opportunities with the sales team and collaborate with marketing and PD to assess opportunity
- Develop vehicle to communicate and own gathering of buyer and retail insights and provide regular updates to marketing and management.
- Drive cross-functional alignment on go-to-market strategies inclusive of placement decisions and major promotional plans that allow SharkNinja to win by Category, and Customer.
- Support sales by traveling to customer meetings and providing strategic value to customer and field sales team including product knowledge, strategic vision of HQ and more.
- Develop and pressure test roadmap with marketing teams to provide winning assortment to customers and report to management on progress on regular basis.
- Liaison between Sales and Finance on assortment portfolios that drive margin enhancement YoY by subcategory and gatekeeper of pricing and devaluation strategies.
