Vendr is a product and technology company with an extremely important service component. Executive Buyers are the face of our business to customers and salespeople. In this role, you will be working with our customers’ leadership teams to help them secure the best possible outcomes for all of their software purchases. Please note, our headquarters are located in Boston and Charleston but this role can be remote.

What you'll do:

  • Advise the fastest growing companies in the world on best practices for Cloud spend optimization. 
  • Work with finance and engineering leaders to understand their long-term cloud strategy and objectives. 
  • Manage all commercial conversations and work directly with our customers’ Cloud providers to ensure spend commitments are optimized and that discounts and credits are maximized. 
  • Help customers move from monthly spend commitments to multi-year agreements to unlock discounts through EDP / EA programs. 
  • Regularly update customers on contract progression, learnings, and suggest strategies for term improvements.
  • Maintain overall customer relationship with the head of finance, technology, and engineering.
  • Provide our Customer and Marketing team with AWS, Azure and GCP promotional and market updates.
  • Work with Vendr's GTM team to build cloud spend management service. 

What we need:

  • 2+ years experience with at least one public Cloud Provider: AWS, Azure, or GCP including making recommendations related to Reserved Instances, Enterprise Discounts, and Cloud Contract terms.
  • Extensive knowledge of cloud technology and cost components/drivers
  • Good understanding of Savings/Discount plans, Committed Use Discounts, Reserved Instances, and spend control
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills across both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Certifications from AWS or GCP are a bonus.
  • Experience using tools such as CloudHealth, Cloudability, AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, Redshift, Athena, Quicksight, Tableau, and PowerBI are a bonus
