Sales Executive – Northeast Region (Boston Area)
Location: Must be commutable to Boston, MA or willing to travel frequently within the Northeast region

Job Profile Summary: 

This role is highly focused on driving sales and cultivating new business opportunities in the Northeast region, requiring expertise in hunting for new clients, identifying growth areas, and building long-term, profitable partnerships. The Sales Executive will work directly with BioTech and Pharma clients to provide value-added input on strategic issues, identify business development opportunities, cultivate executive-level relationships, and deliver tailored, technology-enabled clinical solutions. This position combines strategic sales leadership, deep industry expertise, and cross-functional collaboration to expand IQVIA’s footprint in the clinical technology solutions space.

Essential Functions:

  • Demonstrates a hunter mindset by actively pursuing new business opportunities and implementing strategies to penetrate untapped markets.

  • Drives sales efforts: Develops and executes strategies to secure new clients and increase revenue.

  • Generates new business leads through market analysis, networking, and building strong client relationships.

  • Serves as primary owner of client engagements, focusing on client satisfaction and identifying opportunities for business expansion.

  • Meets or exceeds assigned revenue and sales targets by managing a robust pipeline 

  • Develop tailored solutions for clients, presenting and pitching services to senior executives and decision-makers.

  • Leads proposal development and delivers compelling, client-centric solutions.

  • Negotiates contracts and closes high-value deals aligned with client needs and organizational goals.

  • Leverages upcoming product launches (UI modernization, AI-enabled solutions) to create compelling client propositions 

  • Partners closely with Central Labs and cross-functional teams to support Full-Service opportunities. 

  • Enhances IQVIA’s market presence through thought leadership, conferences, and professional networking.

  • Serves as a solutions-based expert, applying consultative problem-solving skills to address complex client challenges.

Required Education and Experience:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 

Experience:

  • 10+ years of professional experience with a proven track record in sales or business development.

  • Demonstrated success in hunting for new business and closing large-scale deals.

  • Established network within Biotech and Pharma in the Northeast region - track record of customer contacts at the procurement and mid- management level

  • Extensive experience in building and managing a pipeline of opportunities and achieving or exceeding revenue targets.

  • Experience in selling technology-enabled clinical solutions is a plus

Knowledge:

  • Recognized as a thought leader in sales and business development. 

  • Strong understanding of client needs and market dynamics in life sciences. 

  • Deep knowledge of consultative selling and relationship management.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree required. Master’s Degree preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong hunting skills to proactively identify and secure new client opportunities.

  • Expertise in consultative sales approaches and crafting compelling value propositions. 

  • Exceptional negotiation and closing skills to win high-value contracts.

  • Proven ability to develop client acquisition strategies and penetrate new markets.

  • Broad knowledge of the life sciences industry, including trends, challenges, and competitive landscapes.

  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills to engage with senior stakeholders and decision-makers effectively.

  • Ability to articulate complex technology solutions in a consultative manner 

  • Proficiency in using CRM tools or other platforms to track sales activity and manage pipelines.

  • Strategic thinking with a focus on developing innovative solutions to address evolving client demands.

  • High energy, enthusiasm, and a results-driven approach to achieving business growth.

  • 30% travel is required (based on location).

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $89,600.00 - $249,600.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
