Robotics Engineering Manager

We’re looking for a Robotics Engineering Manager who will be instrumental in driving our engineering teams to new heights of excellence and innovation.

Position Overview: The Robotics Engineering Manager will lead a team of engineers to deliver high-quality products and solutions. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership, and project management skills. The ideal candidate will be adept at fostering a collaborative team environment, optimizing processes, and ensuring that engineering projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers. Provide guidance, support, and feedback to help team members achieve their professional goals and improve their skills.

  • Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects. Ensure projects are completed on schedule, meet quality standards, and align with business objectives.

  • Technical Oversight: Maintain a high level of technical expertise. Review designs and system architectures to ensure they meet quality and performance standards.

  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement best practices for hardware development, testing, and deployment. Continuously improve engineering processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, design engineers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, prioritize features, and resolve issues.

  • Resource Management: Allocate resources effectively to ensure balanced workloads and optimal productivity. Manage budgets and project timelines to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery.

  • Innovation and Strategy: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies. Contribute to the development of engineering strategies and roadmaps that align with the company’s goals.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced Degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a management / leadership role.

  • Experience with project management methodologies.

  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to tackle complex technical challenges.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage changing priorities.

  • Strong knowledge of ANSYS, Creo and AGILE is preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of fundamentals of components as robotic mechanisms, including motors, bearings, sensors, actuators is preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of automation controls, robotics, semiconductor system integration is preferred.

  • Knowledge of SEMI standards is preferred.

  • Knowledge of materials and good design practices for the material of choice is preferred.
