Overview of Job Function:

The Renewal Sales Manager position is part of the Verint Sales Team focused on maintaining Verint’s renewal book of business by driving high renewal rates and multi-year committed term lengths. This role is responsible for the entire renewal process at the account level and will collaborate closely with other members of the Verint sales team, namely our regional vice presidents, account executive, and client success managers. This sales role will be accountable for meeting customer retention and bookings targets, term length targets, and maintaining the customer and partner relationship in their book of business. 

Principal Duties and Essential Responsibilities:

  • Align with and execute Verint 4.0 Strategy by establishing a deep knowledge of Verint’s product suite and be enabled to drive product strategy discussions with our customers.
  • Identify Renewals and Manage Book of Business aligning with Verint’s 9-month / 6-month renewal strategy.
  • Drive cross functional collaboration with the rest of the sales organization on both account and renewal strategy, establishing themselves as a trusted member of the account team.
  • Lead renewal negotiations with customers to drive outcomes aligned with Verint objectives.
  • Accurately track and forecast their book of business using Salesforce as their forecasting tool.
  • Assist customers with any product discrepancies in their install base to include license reconciliations and audits. 
  • Track contract non-renewals including reasons for cancellation and develop strategies to overcome future cancellation risks at other customers.
  • Own accountability for support and technical related issues for customers.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in software renewal services or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in sales and negotiation 
  • Working knowledge of Oracle or ERP software products
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office tools such as Word, Excel, Outlook and in using CRM applications - e.g. Salesforce
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate (both written and verbal) with internal and external customers
  • Strong listening and analytical skills with an emphasis on problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to be detail-oriented to organize and prioritize activities in order to meet deadlines
  • Strong leadership and objection handling skills
  • Knowledge of the software industry and working with contracts
  • Excellent customer service skills and a strong passion for customer service 
  • Ability to understand and apply contractual terms and conditions
  • Must be motivated and goal oriented
  • Successful completion of a background screening process including, but not limited to, employment verifications, criminal search, OFAC, SS Verification, as well as credit and drug screening, where applicable and in accordance with federal and local regulations
