Regional Sales Director Clinical Development and Services

Position Summary

The Regional Sales Director Clinical Specialty and Supply (CSS- Clinical) leads a team of Account Managers/Directors collectively responsible for selling all of Clinical Services within the CSS Segment. 

The Regional Sales Director is accountable for achieving Revenue, Sales, Quotes and Funnel goals for the region and for ensuring the staffing, engagement, and development of the individuals within the team. The Regional Sales Director is the primary point-of-contact for customers of Clinical Services within this territory. The Regional Sales Director CSS reports directly to the Vice President of Business Development- NA. Account Managers/Directors report to the Regional Sales Director Clinical.

The Regional Sales Director role is critical to our patients.  As this person is the primary person to interact with our clients who we support to deliver critical therapies with patient safety in mind, executing with efficiency always. Quality, safety and on-time delivery is a must to be successful in this role! 

The Role (daily responsibilities)

  • Promote the technology within the territory and support relevant Global Account Director/Global Account Leader accounts

  • Manage and enable contract negotiations in a timely, effective manner

  • Lead Account Managers/Directors to achieve revenue, sales, quote & funnel goals and individual growth & development goals

  • Achieve individual technology quote, sales, revenue & funnel goals, and individual growth goals

  • Define the sales strategy/product priorities for the CSS Segment

  • Engage with senior customer management to provide sales leverage, Catalent perspective and a channel for major opportunities and issues on behalf of direct reports

  • Establish and develop long-term company-to-company relationships with customer’s decision-makers

  • Ensure customer is up to date with any new products within the technology

  • Collaborate with Global Account Directors/Global Account Leaders in the construction and execution of their strategic account plan(s)

  • Other duties as assigned.

The Candidate (requirements)

  • BS/BA in a scientific discipline or related field. MBA preferred. Minimum of 6 years of sales and/or sales management experience in a business to business company. Distinct knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and drug development.

  • In-depth knowledge of Catalent’s Clinical Supply Services product lines and capabilities.

Pay:

The annual pay range for this position in New Jersey is $177,700 - $257,000

The annual pay range for this position in Maryland is $162,200 - $234,000

The annual pay range for this position in Massachusetts is $177,700 - $257,000

The final salary offered to a successful candidate may vary, and will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to: the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, skillset, education, business needs, etc. Catalent is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
