Job Description

THE PROGRAM

We're looking for students to join our Summer Intern Program who believe that sound is power. Over the 3-month internship, you will get the opportunity to apply the skills you learned in the classroom with hands-on work experience. Our interns will get to network across the business to understand different perspectives at Bose. You'll connect with other interns, co-ops, and colleagues to grow your network for the future!

Timeframe - Summer Intern - June 2nd until about Aug 22nd

THE ROLE

We're looking for an R&D Engineer Summer Intern to join Rapid Design and Engineering (RDE). In this role you will…

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate customer research into tangible prototype solutions.
  • Contribute to the design, development, and testing of early-stage product concepts.
  • Work hands-on to build, modify, and troubleshoot prototype systems (hardware and/or software).
  • Document and present your work to stakeholders and key decision makers.
  • Gain valuable experience in the intersection of engineering, customer research, and product innovation.

REQUIREMENTS

To be successful in this role, you should:

  • Currently be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • Have a foundation in software development (e.g., Python, C/C++, or similar).
  • Have a basic understanding of electronics (e.g., circuit design, microcontrollers, or IoT devices).
  • Be familiar with systems engineering principles and tools.
