- Design and build the information infrastructure multidisciplinary research groups.
- Develop data pipelines for ingestion of various structured and unstructured systems for advanced analytics
- Contribute to the design and scaling of a big-data ecosystem at Merck
- Experience developing robust, scalable full-stack applications
- Technical proficiency in ingesting complex, messy, unstructured and structured data
- Experience developing websites with frameworks such as Django or Flask (Python), Ruby on Rails, or NodeJS
- Experience developing database backed websites using PostgreSQL or MySQL or other technologies
- Experience developing systems utilizing NoSQL technologies (CouchDB, MongoDB, Cassandra, etc)
- Fluent in producing and consuming RESTful web services
- Solid CS fundamentals in algorithms and data structures
- Solid javascript frontend experience building web applications.
- Familiarity with javascript frameworks such as AngularJS, KnockoutJS, Backbone, Ember, Durandal, Etc.
