Program Manager
Boston-based company Piaggio Fast Forward Inc. (PFF) was founded in 2015 by the Piaggio Group (the Italian manufacturer that created the iconic Vespa scooter). PFF is looking for a program manager with a history of delivering engaging web applications, mobile solutions, understanding of software development principles and experience managing global deployed projects.
PFF is hiring a passionate and experienced program manager to join our engineering team. In this role you will participate in growing the team, work with stakeholders, manage global deployments and drive our technology forward. As an expert in managing programs and embedded to cloud product deliveries, you strive to continually improve functionality and our process ensuring that we can deliver the best capabilities to end customers in the minimal amount of time.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of software engineers collaborating on product and technology projects (Mobile Applications & Cloud).
- Drive software product development and deliveries from feature definition and estimation to design, implementation, test, deployment and monitoring.
- Manage and coordinate delivery of complex projects across the development and various stakeholders to champion excellence in deliveries.
- Coordinates team meetings with all functional areas to track progress, identify issues and develop action plans.
- Ability to effectively communicate program progress and issues with peers and upper management.
- Proactively manage issues, risks and opportunities, assisting team members in removing roadblocks and escalating to management issues that cannot be resolved.
- Provide expertise on process improvements and tools to increase organizational efficiency that lead to shared standard methodologies across PFF.
- Professionally represent PFF in conversations with external parties as necessary
- Work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in computer science, software engineering or related discipline.
- 5 years of experience in project or program management. Results must demonstrate an ability to build teams, make sound decisions and drive action cross functionally.
- Experience with agile software development methodologies
- Ability to communicate effectively in a technical environment, including in front of international program stakeholders and VP-level management.
- Experience with Mobile Applications development, Cloud/IoT Deployment (ideally on AWS etc..).
- Experience with supporting large scale IoT deployments or automotive cloud deployments is a plus.
- Experience with Confluence & JIRA is a plus
- Strong verbal and writing skills
