At Vix Technology, we're helping shape the future of public transport.

Every day, millions of people use our technology to tap on, travel and move through more than 200 cities worldwide. From contactless payments to intelligent fare collection and mobility solutions, we're making public transport simpler, smarter and more connected.

As part of our North America Delivery team, we're looking for a Project Coordinator to help deliver complex technology projects for transit agencies across the US and Canada.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone early in their project management career who enjoys bringing structure to complex projects, loves planning and organisation, and wants to develop into a Project Manager over time.

The Opportunity

As a Project Coordinator, you'll be at the heart of our project delivery team, helping keep major customer implementations organised, on schedule and moving forward.

You'll work alongside experienced Project Managers and technical teams, coordinating activities across engineering, customer success, solutions engineering and our customers to ensure everyone is working towards the same goals.

From maintaining project schedules and preparing customer updates to coordinating meetings, tracking actions and helping identify delivery risks, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our projects are delivered successfully.

No two days are the same. One day you'll be updating project plans and coordinating deployment activities; the next you'll be preparing project reports, organising workshops or working with customers and internal teams to keep delivery on track.

If you're someone who enjoys organisation, solving problems and making things happen, you'll thrive in this role.

What You'll Be Doing

Working closely with our Project Managers, you'll help coordinate the successful delivery of customer projects by:

  • Maintaining project schedules, milestones and delivery plans using project management tools.
  • Coordinating activities across internal teams, customers and third-party partners.
  • Tracking project actions, risks, dependencies and key decisions.
  • Preparing project status reports, meeting packs and customer updates.
  • Supporting project planning, implementation and deployment activities.
  • Helping ensure documentation, project records and governance remain accurate and up to date.
  • Organising project meetings, workshops and steering sessions, capturing actions and following up on outcomes.
  • Working with delivery teams to monitor progress against project timelines and highlight potential issues early.
  • Supporting continuous improvement of our project delivery processes and ways of working.
About You

You're highly organised, enjoy working with people and naturally bring structure to busy environments.

You might already be working as a Project Coordinator, Project Administrator, PMO Analyst or Scheduler, or perhaps you've supported technical or customer implementation projects and are looking to build a long-term career in project management.

You enjoy planning ahead, keeping multiple workstreams organised and communicating with people from different backgrounds. You're comfortable asking questions, following up on actions and making sure nothing falls through the cracks.

Most importantly, you're eager to learn and excited about building your career in project delivery.

RequirementsWhat You'll Bring

We're looking for someone with around 1–3 years' experience in a project coordination, PMO or delivery support role.

You'll ideally have:

  • Experience supporting projects within a technology, software, engineering or professional services environment.
  • Good knowledge of project scheduling and planning tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Primavera, Monday.com or similar.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confidence working with customers and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience using collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Teams or Google Workspace.
  • A proactive mindset and willingness to take ownership of tasks and follow them through to completion.
Why Join Vix?

This is more than a coordination role—it's an opportunity to build a career delivering technology that improves the daily journeys of millions of people.

You'll work alongside experienced Project Managers on large-scale transit technology programmes, gain exposure to complex customer implementations and develop the skills needed to progress into a Project Manager role.

At Vix, we invest in our people and believe the best careers are built by learning through experience, collaboration and taking on new challenges.

If you're organised, ambitious and ready to take the next step in your project management career, we'd love to hear from you.

Make the Connection. Deliver the Future.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
