We are looking for a Project Accountant II to join our growing accounting team in Boston, MA.

In this role, you will partner with the accounting team, Project Managers, and Principals to support project financial operations with a strong focus on invoicing, revenue and accounts receivables. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working across teams, managing multiple priorities, and is a strong communicator.

This position’s duties include:

  • Manage project setup, fee structures, invoicing, and closeout activities in Deltek.
  • Review proposals, contracts, billing templates, labor tables, and project setup information for accuracy.
  • Prepare and submit client invoices, including all required supporting documentation.
  • Follow up with clients on billing questions, past-due invoices, and collection efforts by phone and email.
  • Maintain accurate client and billing records, including contact and account updates.
  • Prepare project status, billing, and receivables reports as needed.
  • Interpret and follow client-specific billing requirements and procedures.
  • Support additional accounting and project finance responsibilities as assigned.

 

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in accounting, billing, accounts receivable, or finance related.
  • Preference for experience in professional services, the A/E/C industry, or with Deltek Vantagepoint is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated success supporting collections and improving receivables performance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines, work independently, and stay proactive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional client-facing skills and the ability to build strong working relationships.

Salary range for 3-5 years of experience: $76,000 - $85,000
