About the Opportunity
The Program Coordinator will be responsible for:
- Working with the group members and other experts to prepare educational materials including multimedia platforms.
- Maintaining a strategic web presence for the group, including developing and writing fresh content.
- Maintaining a budget to track expenses.
- Placing purchase order with various vendors
- Coordinating quarterly reviews among multiple sponsored entities
- Writing and documenting reports related to the group's work.
- Communicating with project engineers on the sponsor side.
- Helping group members with new proposal preparation.
- Event-related responsibilities such as, reserving space, transportation, facilities/audiovisual arrangements, catering orders, set-up and breakdown, preparing materials, and advertising of the event.
- Arranging accommodations and itineraries for visitors
- The position will also work closely with the other staff members and faculty in the department by assisting with special projects and other administrative support with the department as needed.
Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree is required with a minimum of one year experience. The successful candidate should be reliable, adaptable, and punctual with the ability to multi-task at all times. The candidate will naturally be proactive with the ability to take imitative and ownership of responsibilities. Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines. The candidate must be able to work independently, as well as a team environment. Excellent internet and computer skills include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and the ability to learn new systems independently. Ability to have a flexible schedule from time to time to meet event needs, and some occasional travel (->5%) may be required. Ability and willingness to continuously evolve and adapt tasks as necessary and learn quickly new policies and procedures. Other duties as they are assigned.
