Summary:

The Product Strategy Manager leads the evaluation and recommendation of strategic investments, growth opportunities, and market expansion initiatives that shape Bamboo Health's multi-year business strategy. You’ll build a deep understanding of the healthcare landscape, our customers and buyers, and the markets in which we compete, using those insights to help shape our strategy and multi-year roadmap.

In this role, you’ll evaluate strategic opportunities through market and competitive analysis, financial modeling, and business case development, translating complex information into clear recommendations for decision makers. You’ll also help inform solution packaging, pricing, and go-to-market planning and support the evaluation and prioritization of roadmap investments.

Reporting to the VP of Product Strategy, this is a highly visible, cross-functional role with regular collaboration across Product Management, Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, External Affairs, and Engineering. You should be comfortable working through ambiguity, getting up to speed quickly on complex topics, and moving seamlessly between building the analysis and communicating the recommendation.

What You’ll Do:

  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, competitive dynamics, emerging technologies, and AI-driven changes in healthcare to identify areas for growth and investment.
  • Size market opportunities through TAM/SAM/SOM analysis and develop business cases that bring together market potential, customer value, competitive differentiation, financial impact, and risk.
  • Build financial models and projections to evaluate the bookings, profitability, and overall value of potential investments.
  • Evaluate strategic, customer-specific, and ongoing product investments to help inform roadmap priorities and tradeoffs.
  • Develop insights and recommendations related to solution packaging, pricing, positioning, and go-to-market strategy.
  • Partner across Product Management, Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, External Affairs, and Engineering to gather perspectives, pressure-test assumptions, and build alignment around recommendations.
  • Turn complex analyses into clear, executive-ready recommendations and materials for leadership discussions, operating meetings, board communications, and customer advisory boards.
  • Stay close to the market and competitive landscape, bringing relevant insights and implications into strategic planning and decision making.
  • Lead strategic analyses from initial question through recommendation, bringing structure and clarity to complex or ambiguous business problems.
  • Stay curious about emerging AI tools and how they can streamline or enhance work within your function.

  • Understand our core buyers, market trends, and competitive landscape across customer segments.
  • Build an understanding of our strategy and roadmap and begin supporting the evaluation of strategic opportunities.
  • Explore opportunities to enhance workflows through AI or automation tools (e.g., document summarization, task routing, or data parsing).

In 6 months…

  • Collaborate closely with Product, Product Marketing, and Commercial teams on analyses that help inform the strategy and direction of the 12-to-36-month roadmap.
  • Translate opportunities into clear, quantified business cases and develop prioritization frameworks to support investment decisions.
  • Develop bookings growth and profitability projections for strategic investments.

In 12 months…

  • Be a recognized and trusted advisor to long-term business line investment and strategy discussions.
  • Help create strong alignment on strategy and investment priorities across key internal teams and executive leadership.
  • Independently lead strategic analyses from initial question through recommendation, bringing together market, customer, competitive, and financial perspectives.

What You Need:

  • 5+ years of experience in management consulting, healthcare, or in-house strategy roles – value-based care and behavioral health experience is a plus.
  • Experience developing business cases that consider value proposition, competitive differentiation, and market dynamics, complete with quantitative bookings forecasts and profitability projections.
  • Business financial fluency and an understanding of key business unit financial KPIs.
  • Ability to create succinct executive-level materials for communication of investments and strategy to the Bamboo executive team and our board.
  • A strong desire and willingness to learn; a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude toward tackling novel problems.
  • An ability to work productively with and drive alignment and consensus among various internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience driving projects from start-to-finish with a predictable cadence, involving multiple stakeholders from diverse disciplines.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence executive-level decision makers through data-driven recommendations and strategic storytelling.
  • A passion for improving healthcare outcomes.
  • Comfort using or learning AI-supported tools (e.g., ChatGPT, CoPilot, or role-specific tools) to improve daily workflows.
  • Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth, and rapidly evolving environments.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote-first environment, ensuring high-quality virtual interactions with minimal distractions.
  • The ability to travel periodically for work.

What You Get:

  • Join one of the most innovative healthcare technology companies in the country.
  • Have the autonomy to build something with an enthusiastically supportive team.
  • Learn from working at the highest levels and on the most strategic priorities of the company, including from world-class investors and advisors.
