TEAM OVERVIEW
KKR’s Marketing team develops executive content strategies that generate brand and product awareness to engage the firm’s clients with valuable content to meet quantifiable business goals. The team builds deep relationships with clients to bridge the gap between client interests and business goals, to create innovative content strategies. The team is also responsible for consistently investigating trends and best practices to make accurate and tailored recommendations to clients. The Marketing team closely collaborates with the sales, product strategy, and compliance teams.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Marketing team is seeking a dynamic and motivated Product Marketing Principal with deep expertise in positioning private equity strategies to various client segments including private wealth, family capital, institutional, and insurance. This role will be based in Boston and will report to KKR’s Head of Product Marketing, who is based in New York. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to help build out the global private equity product marketing platform. This is a highly collaborative role and strong relationship building, content creation, and project management skills are critical as this individual will collaborate closely with colleagues in marketing, communications, compliance, product strategy and the private equity investment teams to produce and activate best-in-class marketing materials.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:
- One, dedicated point of contact:
- One dedicated resource to work with the Private Equity business teams on all marketing-related matters globally.
- Lead bi-weekly meetings with teams to provide updates, confirm priorities, discuss any obstacles/challenges.
- Develop & Execute Strategic Marketing Plan:
- Partner with Sales, Product, and Investment team members to create and execute strategic marketing plan including content & event strategy, campaigns/programs, foundational materials, etc.
- Provide consistent updates on progress, any obstacles, wins, etc.
- Include clearly defined KPI’s and share progress/learnings with key stakeholders.
- Present a Quarterly Business Review to key stakeholders highlighting previous quarter activities and socializing next quarter’s plan.
- Creative Idea Generation:
- Be a visionary. Think big and provide creative marketing solutions to capture eyeballs and mindshare in a crowded market.
- Develop compelling programs & campaigns that will capture the attention of clients and prospects, raising the bar with how we attract and engage clients. Drive adoption through targeted campaigns, ongoing education, and end-investor engagement programs.
- Sales Enablement:
- Partner with channel marketing to repackaging content and create campaigns per sales channel with targeted audiences – wealth, family capital, institutional audiences, etc.
- Partner on Strategic Positioning:
- Partner with Product Strategy and Investment teams to define and refine product positioning, value propositions, and messaging frameworks for private equity offerings across various investor segments (institutional, wealth, family offices).
- Continue to refine based on client feedback and market environment.
- Collaborate with teams to repackage in all foundational collateral: FAQ’s, short/longer form pitch decks, main stage presentations, videos, webpage, end investor material, etc.
- Manage Compelling & Consistent Content Strategy:
- Lead the content development process collaborating with investment professionals, product strategy, sales, and communications teams to create and launch a steady drumbeat of content to educate, stay top of mind, support client conversations. Focus on relevant, client centric, differentiated, and actionable content. Develop targeted amplification plan.
- Manage content calendar for team.
- Manage all formats of content - video, short form content, education, etc.
- Measure and share key learnings/best practices with key stakeholders.
- Lead Project Management & Prioritization:
- Serve as project manager for all related marketing projects including stakeholder management, working with compliance, providing consistent updates to stakeholders, etc.
- Provide Robust Analytics:
- Track, analyze and socialize engagement analytics and campaign performance with key stakeholders on a consistent basis.
- Track Competitor & Market Trends:
- Stay up to date on competitor messaging and marketing tactics. Leverage insights to guide a differentiated approach for KKR.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years’ experience in asset management marketing at a global Asset Manager or Alternative Investment management firm.
- Direct experience with marketing of private equity strategies.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office suite. Experience with Seismic, Asana, Salesforce, and AI-related tools a plus.
- Strong writing ability and familiarity with creating video content.
- Bachelor’s Degree required, CAIA, CFA, or MBA preferred.

This is the expected annual base salary range for this Boston-based position. Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.
