About the Team/Role
WEX Health & Benefits Product Marketing sits between Product, Sales, Revenue Operations, and Engineering. The team improves commercial outcomes by leading go-to-market strategy, serving as the voice of the customer, and partnering with Product from discovery through build and launch. The portfolio spans Consumer Directed Healthcare (including HSA/FSA), COBRA, benefits administration, and Medicare, serving customers ranging from HR leaders and brokers to individual account holders. The team works across multiple initiatives in a lean environment and uses AI to work faster, think bigger, and improve the quality of its work.
In this role, you will own the commercial story and go-to-market strategy for a product portfolio, including positioning, messaging, launch, and commercialization. You will partner with Product on pricing and packaging decisions and bring customer and market evidence into discovery to help shape what WEX builds. You will step into critical GTM work supporting the 2027 roadmap and major launches. This is an AI-forward role for a product marketer who actively builds and improves AI-enabled workflows and can demonstrate the impact.
How you'll make an impact
- Own portfolio GTM and commercialization. Lead positioning, messaging, and launch strategy across the portfolio using the commercialization framework, from concept through post-launch performance.
- Partner with Product on pricing and packaging. Bring customer insight, competitive context, and field feedback to decisions, working alongside Product, RevOps, and Commercial to drive resolution.
- Partner with Product in discovery and build. Use customer research, win/loss insights, competitive analysis, and experimentation to inform roadmap decisions and product-market fit.
- Be the voice of the customer. Synthesize customer feedback, advisory board input, and sales insight into jobs-to-be-done messaging and positioning.
- Equip the field. Build and lead enablement, including playbooks, battlecards, and pitch decks. Own cross-functional rollout of key initiatives for Sales and partners.
- Align the platform story. Connect narratives across CDH, COBRA, benefits administration, and Medicare where cross-solution value exists, partnering with Revenue Generation Marketing on integrated launches.
- Build with AI. Design and use AI-enabled workflows, tools, and agents for research, competitive intelligence, content, enablement, and reporting. Share effective practices so the team improves speed and quality.
- Measure and iterate. Define launch success metrics such as adoption, pipeline influence, win rate, and attach rate. Report results and adjust strategy based on performance.
- Mentor and lead by example. Raise the bar on PMM craft and process, and share knowledge with junior PMMs.
Experience you'll bring
- 3–5 years of product marketing experience in B2B or B2B2C environments, consistent with the PM3 level discussed for this requisition.
- Demonstrated ownership of a multi-product portfolio or multiple product initiatives, with accountability for or measurable influence on revenue, adoption, pipeline, or win-rate outcomes.
- An AI-native working style, supported by concrete examples of something new you built with AI, efficiencies you created, and improvements to throughput or quality.
- Experience partnering with Product on pricing and packaging decisions; direct ownership of pricing or monetization is not required.
- Experience influencing product strategy through customer research, competitive insight, and experimentation during discovery.
- Experience launching and growing data-centric or AI-enabled platforms, including post-launch measurement.
- Strong sales enablement experience in complex or regulated selling environments.
- Ability to synthesize customer insight, regulatory guidance, and market dynamics into clear positioning and strategy.
- Comfort with data, including the ability to pull and interpret performance and usage data to guide decisions.
- Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication, with strong cross-functional influence and executive presentation skills.
- Ability to build trusted relationships, influence without authority, prioritize competing work, and context-switch across multiple products and launches.
- Proficiency with Google Suite, Salesforce or comparable CRM tools, and AI-driven marketing tools.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in healthcare, employee benefits, fintech, or another compliance-heavy industry. Direct benefits experience is valued but is not a non-negotiable.
- Familiarity with CDH products such as HSA/FSA, COBRA, benefits administration, or Medicare.
- Hands-on experience with ChatGPT/OpenAI, Claude, Cursor, and market-team.ai.
- Pragmatic Institute product management certification or active participation in the Product Marketing Alliance.
- A bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, marketing, or a related field. Equivalent experience will be considered.
