  • Able to make complex decisions about offer eligibility, prioritization, and measurement understandable to stakeholders.

Role Overview

Lead the product roadmap for personalized promotions across BJ’s member experiences. A core initiative will be building an offer bank and the decisioning capabilities to dynamically assign relevant offers to members based on propensity scores, eligibility rules, business priorities, and available offer funding. • Work with Data Science and data teams to incorporate propensity scores, member behavior, and other signals into offer selection.
  • Define decisioning requirements, including eligibility, exclusions, prioritization, frequency limits, and rules for resolving competing offers.
  • Partner with Digital and channel teams to deliver assigned offers consistently across the app, website, email, and other relevant member touchpoints.
  • Collaborate with engineering and promotion system owners to ensure offers can be assigned, displayed, clipped or activated, redeemed, and tracked accurately.
  • Establish testing and measurement plans to assess incremental engagement, clip and redemption rates, sales, margin, and member value.
  • Monitor performance and work with business partners to improve offer relevance, operational workflows, and promotion effectiveness.
  • Communicate tradeoffs, dependencies, and progress clearly across cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in product management or a related field, preferably in retail, loyalty, promotions, or marketing technology.
  • Experience translating business needs into product requirements, prioritizing a backlog, and delivering capabilities with agile teams.
  • Understanding of offer management, promotion eligibility, audience segmentation, and personalized customer experiences.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience defining KPIs, interpreting test results, and using performance data to guide product decisions.
  • Ability to work effectively with data science teams and translate model outputs into practical decisioning rules; experience building models is not required.
  • Strong communication skills and a track record of influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
