Company Summary

FL113 Inc., a stealth-stage Flagship Pioneering startup, is developing an AI platform for preemptive health and medicine. We’re looking for a hands-on, strategic Product Development Lead who thrives in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment. This role is not an agile product manager role. It is a critical strategic role to shape our technology, partnerships, and go-to-market strategies. You'll direct the product development of FL113 with the advantages of the Flagship Pioneering ecosystem and resources supporting you. Success in this role positions you for future executive leadership as we transition out of stealth and scale our impact.

Mission

Rapidly advance a flexible AI software platform capable of addressing multiple high impact use cases in preemptive health, swiftly validating business models and securing tangible strategic partnerships that accelerate company growth and commercial success.

The Role

We are seeking a Product Development Lead with expertise in conversational or interactive AI to drive platform innovation, user validation, and strategic partnerships. You will report directly to the founder and President of FL113 Inc. Internally, you'll collaborate closely with a team of senior engineers and AI scientists. Externally, you will engage with senior industry leaders, academic experts, and strategic business partners to shape the product vision and validate market opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Create a Flexible AI Platform:

  • Expand and adapt our AI platform to demonstrate and validate multiple distinct business model experiments, including novel applications of generative AI and ML.
  • Collaborate closely with technical teams and high-value potential partners to guide the integration of large language models (LLMs)and other proprietary ML algorithms into the core product.

Validate Product Value with User Studies:

  • Design and lead user studies (with and without partners) to test and quantify the value of AI-enabled features and establish product value with user segments.

Establish Strategic Partnerships and Product-Market Fit:

  • Establish and execute test-launch programs with strategic partners, including defined user cohorts and measurable success criteria.
  • Deliver tangible user study results from these test-launch programs, validating product-market fit and continuously refining the product roadmap.
  • Secure signed, revenue-generating contracts with strategic partners based on validated use cases.

Skills and Capabilities

  • Brings experience building AI-powered applications with a focus on conversational UX, interactive agents, or human-in-the-loop workflows.
  • Delivers measurable results quickly, demonstrating urgency and proactive decision-making.
  • Translates ambiguity and complexity into clear, actionable, strategies and plans.
  • Rapidly pivots, incorporating new insights into immediate action.
  • Demonstrates success developing, designing, and launching software products through iterative, user-centered design cycles.
  • Communicates clearly and persuasively, engaging customers and stakeholders through compelling verbal and visual presentations.
  • Enables and empowers team members, minimizing overhead to maximize effectiveness.
  • Makes informed, timely decisions with partial information.

Qualifications

  • Degree in relevant field preferred; years of experience may count towards education.
  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in product management, software development, or AI-driven technology roles.
  • Proven experience leading software product development efforts for AI-driven or conversational interfaces—especially those involving LLMs, NLP, or agent-based workflows.
  • Demonstrated success in establishing product-market fit with customers and partners, ensuring the marketability and relevance of products.
  • Experience designing and leading principled user studies to validate features and enhance user experiences.
  • A strong background in leading and collaborating with engineering teams to deliver innovative software products.
  • Robust knowledge of health-tech, interactive AI applications, or consumer technology preferred.
