As a Product Designer II, you'll collaborate with teams to create and enhance mobile health experiences, use design thinking, run user tests, and leverage AI for design improvements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Contribute to the design of mobile experiences for WHOOP, demonstrating knowledge of iOS and Android design best practices to deliver intuitive, high-quality, and platform-native interfaces
- Prioritize and respond to fast-evolving health initiatives with a flexible, experiment-oriented mindset, executing rapidly while upholding a high bar for quality
- Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, marketers, and other designers to craft thoughtful, compelling solutions rooted in both data and creativity
- Stay attuned to customer behavior and needs by running user testing and leveraging insights to inform design improvements
- Conduct A/B testing to explore new ideas, validate user experience designs, and promote a culture of continuous learning and innovation
- Think in systems, drive ideas from concept to execution, advocate for your perspective, and shape solutions where no clear precedents exist
- Utilize a diverse array of traditional design techniques, while embracing AI workflows to accelerate iteration, expand creative exploration, and effectively communicate your vision to both team members and stakeholders
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A compelling portfolio showcasing mobile app designs, particularly in health, wellness, or fitness, with an emphasis on direct contributions and measurable impact
- Deep expertise with modern design tools and workflows, including Figma auto-layout, variables, and libraries, with an eagerness to evolve alongside a rapidly changing landscape and adopt new tools that enhance execution
- Demonstrated bias for action, with a focus on speed, iteration, and clear communication in a fast-paced product environment
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design rationale, align stakeholders, and drive momentum around shared goals
- Demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools in day-to-day design workflows to accelerate iteration and execution, while maintaining a high bar for quality in all outputs
- Strong understanding of iOS and Android design patterns, with the ability to create platform-native experiences while maintaining consistency across systems
- Strong writing skills, with the ability to use language as a design tool to clarify complex concepts, guide user behavior, and elevate the overall product experience
- Passion for health and fitness, with a drive to help people better understand their bodies and live healthier lives.
- Extra Credit: Experience in a creative agency, with a high bar for visual craft in digital products, including typography, color, layout, and interaction design
