Job Type: Full-Time

About the Role

As the PMO Manager within our Enterprise Project Management Office, you will lead a team of program and project managers responsible for delivering strategic initiatives and projects across the organization. You will also own the project portfolio management (PPM) function, ensuring alignment of programs and projects with business priorities, resource capacity, and strategic outcomes.

Operating in a fast-paced SaaS environment, you will oversee a portfolio of cross-functional initiatives, manage dependencies, and drive execution across both Agile and Waterfall delivery models. You will serve as a key partner to senior leadership, providing visibility into portfolio health, risks, and performance metrics through structured and insightful portfolio status reporting. In addition, you will lead or directly manage high-impact strategic programs as needed to ensure the successful execution of the company’s most critical initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of program and project managers, fostering a culture of accountability, agility, and continuous improvement.
  • Own and evolve the project portfolio management (PPM) framework, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and resource capacity.
  • Oversee the intake, prioritization, and governance of enterprise-wide initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain integrated portfolio roadmaps using Jira Plans (Advanced Roadmaps) and other Atlassian tools.
  • Drive the successful delivery of programs and projects across Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid methodologies.
  • Lead or directly manage strategic programs as required, ensuring alignment with business objectives and executive expectations.
  • Partner with executive stakeholders to define program goals, KPIs, and success metrics.
  • Deliver timely, accurate, and actionable portfolio status reports to senior leadership, highlighting progress, risks, dependencies, and resource utilization.
  • Champion PMO best practices and standardization across the organization.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and decision-making to remove roadblocks and accelerate delivery.
  • Manage program budgets, vendor relationships, and resource planning.
  • Continuously assess and improve PMO processes, tools, and frameworks to enhance efficiency and scalability.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field; master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
  • 7-10+ years of experience managing complex programs and projects in a SaaS or technology-driven environment.
  • Proven experience leading project portfolio management functions and tools.
  • Strong expertise with Atlassian tools, especially Jira Software and Jira Plans (Advanced Roadmaps).
  • Demonstrated success managing both Agile (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban) and Waterfall projects.
  • Experience producing and presenting portfolio-level reporting to executive stakeholders.
  • Relevant certifications preferred: PMP, CAPM, CSM, CSPO, SAFe 5 or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven mindset.
  • Proficiency with project and portfolio management tools, particularly within the Atlassian ecosystem.

You Bring

  • A strategic mindset with a bias for action and results, capable of aligning team objectives with business goals and prioritizing effectively.
  • A passion for operational excellence and continuous improvement.
  • The ability to inspire and lead through influence.
  • A collaborative spirit and a knack for simplifying complexity.
  • A data-driven approach to decision-making and performance tracking with the ability to drive measurable impact.
