Position Overview: Platform Application Specialists at Squarepoint plays an important technical role in delivering mission-critical platform infrastructure using the DevOps methodology.

In this position, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of stakeholders on building and maintaining automated platform solutions and services used across the firm. You will also be responsible for designing, monitoring, and scaling platform and automating everyday tasks with scripting and configuration management tools. Your know-how will guide junior team members, providing mentorship and fostering a culture of continuous learning

As a member of the Middleware stream, you will be working towards increasing platform stability of some of the most critical infrastructure applications used in the company. You will have the opportunity to shape both the architecture and user experience to offer the most out of our platform. You will also be working on automation enhance operational efficiency via development of CICD pipelines and creation of self service work flows.

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or similar discipline.
  • Have 4+ years experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering roles.
  • Enhance operational efficiency of our users via development of CICD pipelines and creation of self service work flows
  • Exhibit deep knowledge of at least two of these technologies: Kafka, Consul, Load-balancing.
  • Proficient in infrastructure automation and configuration management using tools such as Ansible and Terraform.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with security products such as Keycloak, CyberArk
  • Familiarity with modern software development tooling, including GitLab, Kubernetes, Hashicorp Products
  • Experience in software development (Python, Git).
  • System administration expertise (Bash, Linux, Containerization).
  • Experience with Observability systems such as Elasticsearch, Prometheus

The minimum base salary for this role is $80,000 if located in New York.  This expectation is based on available information at the time of posting.  This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses, which could constitute a significant portion of total compensation.  This role may also be eligible for benefits, such as health, dental, and other wellness plans, as well as 401(k) contributions.  Successful candidates’ compensation and benefits will be determined in consideration of various factors.
