Manager, People Operations, Systems & Analytics-Full Remote

Our Organization

CDP, a Boston-based public benefit corporation, uses the collaborative fundraising model to improve the operational efficiency and revenue generation capacity of the public media system. CDP currently provides more than 230 NPR and PBS public media organizations (PMO’s) with outsourced marketing, data analytics, fundraising, and technology services. These services help PMO’s raise more net income, grow their donor files faster, lower their fundraising costs, and free up development talent allowing stations to better focus on local engagement. Since its inception, CDP has delivered more than $1 billion in membership revenue for local PMO’s participating in its services and has become the most widely adopted Public Media service in the history of public media.

Just as CDP is committed to supporting public media organizations around the country, we are equally committed to supporting each of our team in their own professional development.

Job Summary:

This is a rare opportunity to join CDP at a pivotal moment of rapid growth and evolution—and to have a meaningful seat at the table in shaping what comes next. As Manager, People Operations, Systems & Analytics, you will help build the People infrastructure behind an extraordinarily active, mission-driven organization, translating strategy into scalable systems, trusted insights, and exceptional employee experiences. You will partner across the business to strengthen and advance a robust inclusion and culture strategy, an evolving talent strategy, and the operational capabilities needed to prepare CDP for the future. Serving as the technical and analytical backbone of the People function, you will lead critical compensation, benefits, compliance, systems, reporting, and automation work while influencing decisions that directly support company strategy, organizational effectiveness, and sustainable growth. The ideal candidate combines strong HR expertise with hands-on systems administration, advanced analytics, rigorous attention to detail, and the curiosity to use AI and automation to transform how work gets done.
The role will be a contract position for a year with the potential to convert to perm.

How you’ll contribute:

  • Compensation cycles: Administer annual merit, compensation, and bonus cycles, including system configuration, data preparation, validation, audit controls, reporting, and coordination with People and Finance partners.
  • Salary structures: Maintain salary grades, compensation structures, and related system data; produce analysis that supports compensation decisions and consistent program administration.
  • HR systems: Serve as a primary technical administrator for HRIS and connected People platforms, including configuration, user access, business rules, data imports, troubleshooting, vendor coordination, and ongoing platform optimization.
  • Workforce insights: Develop recurring and ad hoc workforce reporting, dashboards, and executive-ready insights, including Board reporting, workforce metrics, engagement and pulse survey results, and inclusion and culture measures.
  • Compliance and audits: Manage required People-related reporting and compliance processes, including ACA, EEO-1, Form 5500, and other applicable federal and state requirements; support internal and external audits.
  • Open Enrollment: Coordinate the operational and technical components of annual Open Enrollment, including system setup, testing, employee data validation, enrollment reporting, and reconciliation with vendors and payroll.
  • Automation and self-service: Design and implement workflow automation, AI-enabled tools, and employee and manager self-service solutions that improve accuracy, reduce manual effort, and strengthen the employee experience.
  • Scalable People Operations: Lead People Operations projects and maintain process maps, standard operating procedures, data definitions, controls, and end-user documentation to support consistent and scalable practices.

Experience/Skills

Five or more years of progressive experience in People Operations, HRIS, compensation, benefits, workforce analytics, or a related technical HR discipline, including experience independently managing complex cycles or projects.

Hands-on experience administering an HRIS or People platform such as ADP Workforce Now, ChartHop, or a comparable system, including configuration, data management, security, reporting, testing, and issue resolution.

Strong technical reporting and analytical skills, including advanced Excel capability; experience with leveraging Microsoft Co-pilot to build dashboards and metrics.

Working knowledge of compensation administration, including merit and bonus cycles, salary grades, pay structures, data validation, and compensation reporting.

Experience supporting benefits administration and Open Enrollment, with familiarity with ACA, EEO-1, Form 5500, audit, and other HR compliance requirements.

Demonstrated ability to maintain data integrity, establish controls, reconcile information across systems, identify root causes, and communicate findings clearly to technical and nontechnical audiences.

Experience improving workflows through automation, AI-enabled tools, integrations, or low-code solutions; curiosity and sound judgment regarding responsible use of employee data and technology.

Strong project management, documentation, vendor management, collaboration, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred. Relevant HR, compensation, benefits, analytics, project management, or HR technology credentials are a plus.
