Reporting to the Manager of Partner Recruiting, this position supports the firm’s lateral partner recruiting and integration team across the firm’s robust global platform. This position has a very specific focus on handling all onboarding for new lateral partners and can reside in one of the following offices: Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, or Washington, DC. This job may require late hours and/or weekend work and a hybrid 3 day in-office/2-day remote working schedule is available.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate all aspects related to the onboarding of new lateral partners.

  • Communicate regularly with lateral partners between the time they are voted into the partnership and their first day.

  • Work collaboratively with firm administrative departments and practice groups to execute successful onboarding and orientation for all lateral partners.

  • Coordinate all orientation activities.

  • Provide comprehensive administrative and logistical support to the partner recruiting manager in all recruitment tasks.

  • As needed, provide administrative support to the partner integration manager with all tasks related to the firm’s two-year lateral integration program.

  • Provide excellent client service in directly supporting new lateral partners during their recruitment and onboarding process. 

  • Collaborate closely with the broader Legal Talent team to ensure consistency, communication, and alignment across recruiting and integration priorities.

Education and Experience:

This job requires:

  • a Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university and a minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in a law firm or professional services setting. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Exceptional client service focus.

  • Proficiency using the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint).

  • Effective in a team environment; strong desire to effectively collaborate.

  • High level of productivity and strong work ethic.

  • Ability to adapt to change and balance competing demands.

  • Ability to read and interpret general business documents, instructions and manuals, write routine business correspondence, and speak effectively with employees, clients, candidates, and external vendors.

  • A level of comfort interacting with all levels of personnel, including practice group leadership, firm management, and Chiefs.

The base salary or hourly wage range for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market factors. The final salary or hourly wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances. Additionally, salary or hourly wages may be only part of the total compensation package. The total compensation package for this position may also include a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, the employee will be in an "at-will position" and the firm reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, firm or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

For positions in Boston, MA and Chicago, IL the salary range for this job posting is: $62,000.00- $99,200.00.

For positions in Los Angeles, CA and New York, NY, the salary range for this job posting is: $67,400.00- $107,825.00.

For positions in Washington, DC, the salary range for this job posting is: $64,700.00 - $103,475.00.
