Working as part of a cross functional team, you will deliver the RDQ activities required to complete packaging deployment across new manufacturing sites. You will additionally manage packaging development and implementation for PPA, productivity and/or growth projects across multiple brands, primarily 7Days and Perfect Snacks.
How you will contribute
With the support and guidance of a manager, you will organize and execute projects in line with RDQ, marketing and manufacturing requirements, being solutions-oriented, and effectively communicating status and risks. You will plan and conduct activities to generate appropriate packaging information, using sampling and supplier management, and pilot plant and factory trials in accordance with good manufacturing practice and HACCP requirements. In this role, you will plan and conduct process development activities (e.g. packaging design, creating and maintaining accurate specifications, packaging scale up, commissioning, etc.). You will be the packaging lead for the qualification of new manufacturing lines and sites. You will also regularly create technical reports, which will require your skills in analysis and interpretation of results that will lead to conclusions and recommendations.

You will bring experience and knowledge in:• Food packaging materials (sustainability, strength, barrier properties, etc.)• Food packaging equipment (horizontal flow wrappers, vertical baggers, cartoners, case packing)• Right-sized packaging, packaging for maximum vehicle fill rate• Working on teams and independently with the guidance of a manager• Prioritizing and managing activities• Using critical thinking to identify problems proactively and creating and implementing solutions independently• Obtaining and organizing information to eliminate gaps in documentation• Applying fundamental technical understanding to interpret and analyze data to reach clear conclusions• Working with agility while maintaining technical rigor• Communicating effectively verbally and in writing, including technical writing• Technical curiosity and a collaborative mindset
What you need to know about this position: This position will be based on-site at the East Hanover office, with hybrid work days as appropriate. Frequent travel within North America is expected.
Required Education / Certifications: BS/MS Packaging Science
Preferred Education / Certifications: experienced in SAP PLM and CAPE, intermediate or higher fluency in Spanish
Travel requirements: up to 50% travel
Job specific requirements: 3+ years of experience in CPG packaging, strong preference in food packaging.
The base salary range for this position is $73,900 to $101,650; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
