Position Responsibilities:
- Responsible for developing and executing the schedule of flight control maintenance and overhaul visit plan and responds to customer needs.
- Defines and assist in managing resource requirements, tooling, parts inventory and parts availability with material management and supply chain to support flight control customer and project needs.
- Assist in direct accountability for P8 safety, quality, cost, & schedule, as well as ensuring compliance to our contractual requirements with both our customers and business partners.
- Establishes planning and develops strategic plans, conducts risk assessments and analyzes new scheduling techniques for current programs and new business proposals.
- Develops and directs maintenance, repairs and overhaul (MRO) operation schedules and time-phased maintenance/repair/modification sequence plans.
- Performs flow-time calculations, validates the schedule data with supervisors and produces schedule status data for management.
- Understand critical path jobs and which milestones they support.
- Create and load daily schedule with proper sequencing of work instructions with durations and establish timeline(s) for the execution of work
- Update schedules for unplanned work
- Develop appropriate staffing forecasts to support program commitments.
- Work with maintenance planning team to optimize workflow and sequence of work packages
- Work with operations managers to mitigate schedule conflicts.
- Develop a recovery plan as necessary when off schedule.
- Participate in daily Tier Meetings.
- Competencies include strategic thinking, leading change, conflict resolution, continuous improvement analysis and leading across boundaries.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Minimum 1 year of experience working with scheduling tools or databases
- Minimum 1 year of experience with Production Control/Materials Management
- Minimum 1 year of experience with P8 aircraft
- Minimum 1 year working with or within one of the following maintenances, repair, and overhaul. (MRO) operations, industrial engineering, supply chain, and/or production control.
- Willing to work variable shifts; including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor's degree or higher (or foreign equivalent)
- Experience establishing and tracking key performance indicators.
- Understanding of Lean, continuous/process improvement methodology.
